Looks like St. Louis is moving in the right direction.
There is an article in the Post Dispatch.

I'd say they kept an eye on BigSoccer and have taken into consideration the fans desires.

When I first went there this morning, my first thought was "wait, is KeeperDad behind this? Did he launch a new site for it?"
So, beyond the fact that we seem to be on the brink, it's also sweet that the potential ownership group is very much interested in their fans' wishes/ideas.

I only visit your board every so often and I thought the same thing. I hope that crest represents your eventual colors, the light green dark green and silver/gray is pure class.

I think its a combination of a couple SportsBilly and Keeper Dad designs. But most of all.....GREEN! There is a larger benefit that has been mentioned though.
This tells me that not only have they been keeping track of us, they respect our ideas enough to use them. I makes me believe that as long as we continue to think things through like we have, they would listen to us in the future.

Absolute congratulations have to go out to Keeperdad and Sport Billy, as well as everyone else that contributed to the design process.
I could not believe it either. It is like we were their design team. Our color, our design, the Knight ... amazing work everyone. Congrats to All!!!!

I agree with everyone, the SLSU crest is awesome!
Also, thank you to Nerazzuri, sillinois, and sirfallsalot for the kind words about my designs.

I echo this - thanks guys. I think this shows that the owners are going to be very responsive to us.
BTW, I signed of my e-mail to everyone yesterday with "The Time Is Now"
The teams website has a headline of "MLS in the STL: The Time is Now"
I swear that was a complete coincidence
BTW - if anyone didn't get the e-mail let me know - I might not have your address yet.

KD and SB, your efforts have been tremendous on this. It's great to see stuff like that pay off.
Now, as for the stadium itself--beautiful!
I was going through an archive of Euro stadiums the other day, and this is essentially the model I kpet coming back to--stands all the way around, no stage, and a roof all the way around. Also, from the renderings, it looks like the roof is somewhat low, when compared to a place like the Home Depot Center. I like that idea.
The low roof can help trap noise in (similar to Minute Maid Park during the playoffs). I was watching the Galaxy-TFC match the other night, and the atmostphere was outstanding. a low roof that keeps noise in can help to recreate that type of atmosphere.

My one complaint is the lack of connection to St Louis' biggest landmark: The Arch.
No reference in the crest or though it wouldn't be original in the stadium aka Busch II which had the arch's all around the top of the stadium.
Otherwise great news, living between Chicago and St Louis, I hope a great soccer rivalry can be formed like Cubs/Cards.

Good catch - I have to say, from a design aspect, the Arch is a very awkward shape to work with - especially if you want to go with a traditional crest design - which they did.
With or without the Arch - that is one beautiful crest :)

There is an arch in the crest. It just happens to be upside down.
