we can still use them as far as I know. We just aren't suppose to get them on the field... That said it's a matter of people buying the streamers and dividing them into more throwable pieces.

Can we get together a drive for this?

Sure Hobby lobby sells them cheap. Just throw them staright up in the air, if the wind sends them on the field then oh well. Not our fault.

i'm not the one who's saying this, but i have a feeling the 9/27 game is going to make things more difficult for security and some of these little things might be sneaked a little easier.

It's not that we can't bring in streamers for any game, we can, we're just not suppose to get them on the field.

Seconded. Hobby Lobby is the best place I have found for streamers. I believe they are 3 rolls for $1 (I have often purchased every roll of blue and white in stock). Basically, you just need to create smaller rolls from each roll you purchase. I re-roll each one into 3 or 4 smaller one-off rolls.

Went to hobby lobby yesterday and brought a crap load of blue and white streamers. As well as some blue paint. So If anyone wants to volunteer turning eaach roll into two rolls at the tailgate let me know?

I actually turn my rolls into 4 rolls.....they don't need to be super long. I have 72 rolls right now and may swing by Hobby Lobby again for some more. I figured out a way to make the smaller rolls fairly quickly.

i went to paper warehouse in brookside today and got 500ft. of streamers for $3.99 as opposed to the 81ft. for $1.29 or whatever it was.

i'm trying to decide how long to make each sub-roll. i'm thinking like 20-25 ft.

i am also trying to decide if i should use all of them sunday or save some for 9/27 since i want to make a good showing that day for all the newcomers. i guess i could always buy another one with my broke ass.

The standard rolls at Hobby Lobby at 3 rolls for $1.00 are 81' each. So, I am ending up with about 20' streamers.

while we're on the topic of Hobby Lobby, i also got a solid royal blue bandana from Michael's yesterday, and washed it in a bucket of water with a little laundry detergent and maybe a tablespoon of bleach. it's pretty close to the jersey color now.

Just to revisit the streamers idea:

For the natorious "secutiry attack" match, I brought over 140 streamers. I picked up 19 rolls of white and 19 rolls of blue and rerolled each into 4 20' rolls. At 3 rolls for $1, that was only $12 total cost.

If we can get 15 or 20 people each willing to pick up at least 6 blue and 6 white, and reroll them, the would give us a crap-load of streamers. Enough to drape the section after a goal.

So, anyone other than me willing to step-up and commit to getting at least 12 rolls and rerolling them for the 9/15 match?
