I thought all three of the penalty calls were correct. However, whenever there is a penalty, there'll also always be someone continually bitching that it wasn't.

Almeida was clearly held and couldn't get to the ball.
Imo those are clearer penalties than those that Bayern's Toni got for example where he just took the defender's leg even though he could have easily avoided it.

bremen deserve to go through but anyone who says that was a penalty is plain ignorant..that was one of the worst penalty calls i have ever seen..even the idiotic announcers on gol tv who have no clue about football thought it was a bad call..who knows maybe we will see bremen and dinamo in uefa cup..:D

Well, I don't see the DZ fans admitting that the 2 elbow strikes against Diego and Jensen should have been red-carded (which, in other matches, it would have been).

As far as I could tell the referee was actually very generous to you. You deserved to be playing with only 9 men on the pitch.

It's not up to the striker to "avoid" the defender's leg. It's up to the defender to not have his leg where it doesn't belong in the first place.

you forgot to mention the elbow to the face mandzukic and shildefield recieved..so now its 9on9..i know the german fans will never admit it but every other fan on this forum that is not german or croatian has said that was not a penalty..the second penalty on diego was a penalty but the first call was an absolute joke..anyways its on to ajax good luck to bremen in champions league..hopefully klasnic can come back..

You seem to know where people are from without even bother asking them. I can tell you that I'm not German or Croatian. Actually I lived in Croatia for 1-2 years, and I know Alex_K is not referring to me since I'm not an American either :D

f$ck this we were better team in both games and if there was a fair trial dinamo would have won this game. i just loved when vukojevic scored 1:1 couse that was your punishment for that criminal penalty for werder.
and i just loved how dinamo players elbowed werders in 2nd half , thats what you deserved and i wish werder last place in a group couse you guys didnt deserve to be in champions league.

I think Alex_K was referring to me. :D And I've only been to Croatia once. That was in the days as the war was slowly dying down.

I have go back to enjoy it. The Croatians are great people! As we saw by the fan performance at the stadium.
