I can't believe that Bruce Arena doesn't call in the absolute best players for each and every match, and each and every tournament.
It's a freakin' outrage.
We won't be taken seriously as a soccer, er football, nation until we kick ass with our best players every time we play.
Player development is what club teams are for. Bruce needs to stop "trying players out" and start cherry picking the flava of the month.
We are so third rate it's pathetic, and it's all Bruce Arena's fault.

This works if your domestic league is the Premiership or La Liga, but this is MLS we're talking about. Some of the younger guys have not played at "that level" and do need to be worked in slowly.
**Please don't flame me as a eurosnob or get into a "which league is better" debate. I'm just stating the obvious truth.

Unfortunately you are right. It just isn't the same to say the game in the MLS is the same in places like England, Spain, Italy, Brazil, etc...
We can't expect our players to be prepared for that kind of competition without seeing it first hand
