Well the start of the new season is upon us... and sadly, still one division below where we'd like to be. We saw some of our brightest stars leave during the last few weeks, but we've got some fresh new faces eager to prove themselves. Can we still play Tony Mowbray's brand of football AND still be be able to eke out a good number of wins this season? Time will tell.

Our first test will be away from home up in Burnley against a side that has been amongst the sides contending for promotion from the Championship in recent seasons. They will certainly provide a decent test for the start of the season.

How has Filipe Teixiera played so far in pre season?

He was a very good player, and i wouldnt mind him as a sub for benfica.

Had some connection problems on my end and was unable to listen to Saturday's match. It was not a great start to the season for us. We squandered the early lead and then gave away (an allegedly dodgy) penalty to Burnley. A lot of new faces as Hoefkens, Barnett, Texeira and Beattie each were in the first XI for us in this first competitive match of the season.
