Canizares will not give up his spot easily - he has been in good form for Valencia for years now, and has seen quite a few "contenders" be unable to displace him. Timo may have to wait for awhile.

but do you think he may loose his place in the german national team?

He should but our coach is a fellow Swabian so who knows.

Maybe Ballack and Metzelder should be gone as well. :D

I like Metzelder, but Ballack needs to go, seriously he needs to go.

Are you serious? Maybe for Chelsea, but not for the NT. As far as for Timo. He may get his spot. Canizares is an excellent goalkeeper but he is getting old already so in a few years there should be a spot open.

Neuer should take his spot IMHO. He was incredible last season for Schalke, and has looked every bit as good so far this year.

If Hildebrand can't get past Canizares, who isn't even number 1 in Spain, he can't expect to be heir to Lehmann's throne. He's played very well in the last couple of months, no doubt, but we've got too many great keepers to rely on someone who doesn't play regularly.
Even if he did, he wouldn't be first choice if I had to decide. Enke has been superb for several seasons in a row now, he deserves it most IMHO.

The future is Adler, Neuer and Rensing. Hildebrand can enjoy the sun in Valencia.

I'm sure the Third Reich will have plenty use for him.

Whatever that is? I don't even understand that.

Anyway, keep this war talk out of football ok? Seriously. Especially when it's not funny. That's what the "errrr" was supposed to imply.

Um, where is this thread going?
Soon to be closed if not back on topic. And I am not sure we need Third Reich references in here.

I guess it was a try on English "humour" since he is half Brit.

Whatever. I never got what Hilde did expect joining Valencia. Canizares was never in question and the coach didn't want him in the first place. I could imagine it was a good deal for Hilde's agent who has a reputation for risky deals. He also gets massive provisions and couldn't care less what happens to his clients as soon as the deal is done.
