Revs Fan Forever

Thoughts, likes, dislikes. In my opinion he is the most under-rated player on the gold cup team. If you have seen any of his games this mls season he has kept the revs in the game in almost all of them. Why has not been given a legitamite chance? When will his chance come?

he hasn't been given a chance because the position is so deep in front of him.
he's very good though. maybe the most talented keeper in mls even if howard sticks around. injuries slowed him, but if he's healthy he's as good as we have in my opinion. but it's just so hard to get time at GK.

What Ringo said sums it up.....there are only so many games, and Arena is getting his looks at Howard right now.....I think Adin's time will come though, he is a fantastic keeper.......real fun to watch.

He's been a stud since he's been at the College of William and Mary. But if he wants to see time with the USMNT, he needs to go abroad and wow them somewhere else outside of New England. I don't see any teams banging on the Revs' door asking 'how much?' for him...

One can postulate that if Howards transfer to ManU goes through, and he starts to work with either a team on loan or a ManU squad, Arena will give him a break from National duty. This could well open the door for Abrown.

We'll see....

I didn't know we had passionate William & Mary supporters out there.

When Jon Stewart (of the Daily Show, W&M alum and player soccer there in the early 80s) came down last fall, he said "Have some pride in the mother f@ucking Tribe". Honestly the 3 alumni my school brags about are Jon Stewart, Glenn Close, and Thomas Jefferson, since the only thing William and Mary is really good at is producing rich white people. So needless to say, we are all proud of Adin and everybody else who makes it in the field of athletics.

Maybe not "banging on the door", but wasn't Rosenborg interested in Brown several years ago?

Seeems like he'll get his shot on the Gold Cup roster. As a Crew fan, I'd love to see him go overseas. He's cost us 2-4 games - including the Eastern Division game 3 last year.

I personally think he and Howard are an interchangeable 1-2 in MLS. Of course, I like it when he's in the nets vs. the Fire.

I haven't really seen any foot skills form him yet. The obvious Thorton problem is no foot skills. Can Adin move the ball and play with both feet?

A friend of mine named Adam Hess plays basketball for W&M.

He's a good keeper, and is still young. He'll probably have to wait a few more years til Friedel and Keller are out of the picture before he really gets a shot.

One of the best youth soccer prospects ever played at William & Mary. Unfortunately - for soccer - he played basketball for Bill and the Bitch and went on to play professional baseball.

I'm talking of Curtis Pride, who was a standout on the US U17 team back in the mid 80s. He was fast and strong and had good size and was good on the ball for that era.

But, at the time there wasn't much of a future in soccer so he signed with the Mets right out of HS and spent his summers playing minor league ball and played hoops at William and Mary. If I recall correctly, the Mets paid for his tuition and housing at W&M.

I remember reading an article on him saying he chose to play basketball over soccer in college because the basketball season gave him a break after baseball and led for more of a transition to get in hoops shape while he didn't have time to get in soccer shape after playing baseball all summer. That, and the college season started training while he was still playing minor league ball and since they were paying him and paying for school, he couldn't just up and leave and play soccer.

Oh - and Curtis Pride is also deaf, which made his athletic achievments all the more amazing.

My friend made up shirts that said "College of Billy and the Bitch". I was wearing mine when we went into the Caf, where a bunch of 5th graders were eating lunch during a fieldtrip. I have never gotten a dirtier look from a teacher in my whole life.
