Tough one this. A week ago I would have predicted Chelsea to win, but the end of the Tevez saga, the Terry injury, and what seems to be a good spirit in the United camp sways me back to United. For United I still have worries about GK and LB though, and if Chelsea pull out a big signing which gives them more attacking threat, like Alves, then it could swing things back to them.
I see Arsenal as a bigger threat to the top two than Liverpool, but both teams will be a lot closer this year. Arsenal are better off without Henry, and Liverpool should be a bigger goal threat with Torres.
At the bottom I forsee a tough season for Wigan as they made a poor choice in new manager. I put Derby down as they do not seem to have bought enough to survive.
It's a toss-up then between Bolton, Birmingham and Sunderland for the last relegation place. I'll go for Bolton as I think Big Sam recognised his aging squad was at the end of the road and got out in time. I do fear for Sunderland though. Keane will have to work a miracle to keep them up as he has barely improved the squad. Getting Craig Gordon could make all the difference.

I really think rumors of Arsenal's demise are exaggerated. They didn't have Henry for half of last season, and they lost RvP for that much as well. Having RvP for a whole season, Adebayor (who always seemed to look a better player when Henry was off),and more experience for the young guys will let them hold in the top 4.
Spurs will push hard, because Jol has spent quite a bit this summer. I just don't know who'll give up their spot for them - it seems some here think Liverpool.

Fairly Generic, I know. But I think the drama that will play out this year will be mostly centered around who will be getting into Europe via the Uefa Cup. I can see Newcastle, Manchester City, Everton, Spurs, Pompey all having a run for a spot.
In regards to Arsenal and Spurs I think they'll finish 4-5 with Arsenal in the 4th spot. Arsenal just have the class to make it. They are young, BUT for youngsters they are fairly experienced. I don't think Berbatov can have the same season he had last year. Arsenal will have RvP, Adebayor, and their new signing in Da Silva. Not to mention a sturdy back four, as well as senior leadership coming from Gilberto. (Plus one of the best keepers in the world.:D) They'll make top four. Perhaps even win the Carling Cup this time around.

The odds makers have Wigan, Derby, and Birmingham to hit the drop, with Fulham sitting at 16. Us and Chelsea for the title is soo damn close on the odds...
