ESPNU and ESPN360 will show all 52 games of the 2007 U-17 World Cup from Korea. Telecast details are similar to those of the U-20 World Cup earlier this summer. They will again use the English-language world feed with commentators provided by FIFA. ESPNU will show all 16 games from the knockout rounds (Round of 16, quarterfinals, semifinals, 3rd place match, final) plus 7 games from the earlier group phase (including all three US games). The other 29 group games will be available on ESPN360 broadband. The live ESPNU matches from Korea will be rebroadcast later in the day for those without DVRs.
These are the 7 group games to be shown on ESPNU:
Saturday, August 18-
12:30am North Korea v. England
Monday, August 20-
3:45 am Columbia v. Germany
6:45 am Tajikistan v. USA
Tuesday, August 21-
6:45 am Brazil v. North Korea
Thursday, August 23-
3:45 am Tunisia v. USA (also shown on ESPN2)
Friday, August 24
3:45 am England v. Brazil
Sunday, August 26-
2:45 am Belgium v. USA
Spanish-language telecasts are scheduled to be broadcast on Galavision, but their schedule has not yet been released.

True...but that game will be available on ESPN360. Unfortunately, I have no way to record those games.
Should your team make it to the knockout rounds (round of 16 and beyond), they'll definitely be on from then until they lose.
Also, lets see what Galavision does...although the Univision networks showed very little U-20, and even sold off the majority of games to Fox Sports enEspanol, that tournament was held approximately the same time as Copa America. My guess is that they will tape delay their games.

Seems like Galavision isn't even bothering with it...looking at my TV guide, they've only got one game so far on Saturday and also one on Sunday.
Saturday, August 18
Brazil vs. New Zealand - 4:00 am ET
Sunday, August 19
Honduras vs. Spain - 3:00 am ET
The rest of the morning is all infomercials. Let's hope that changes (I don't think it will though). Also, ESPNU is re-repeating N. Korea vs. England on Sunday when they could be showing a SDD game from early Sunday morning

At least they are showing a game each day, and a live showing at that. Perhaps this will not be the case during during the week, we'll have to wait and see.
I guess on the weekend they figure more people might watch by staying up on the West Coast (1 am, 12 mid) by showing an earlier game, than hoping that us East Coasters watch the later games during breakfast (7am), at least on the weekend. Unfortunately, your game is in the later time slot.
As for ESPNU, I made the same argument during the group round of the U-20 World Cup. I guess they feel they are doing their part by televising 23 games on ESPNU, and putting the other 29, including the one you are clamoring for, on ESPN360 broadband.
Your only hope is that the Univision company sublicenses some of the games to Fox Sports en Espanol, just as they did for the Under-20 World Cup (although getting to also show some Copa America on a delayed basis may have had something to do with them making that deal).
Visca, as you find out more of Galavision's schedule for the U-17s, i hope you will update us.

One problem is that Mexico didn't qualify for this tournament. Perhaps that has diminished their expectations of their viewers' interest in the tournament and they might scale back coverage. I hope that's not the case, but you wonder.

Indeed. Mexico not being there has a lot to do with it.
After all, it's all about ratings, demographics and all that.

I saw the listings for Monday and Tuesday, and they are still showing a game a day live, only during the week they repeat the match at 7:00 pm.
Monday, August 20 - 3:55 am Columbia v. Germany
Tuesday, August 21 - 6:55 am Brazil v. North Korea
Both games are also being shown on ESPNU.
The US plays its first game on Monday (v. Tajikistan), but I did not see it listed on Galavision, only ESPNU has it.

Cheers.
I guess they're showing Peru's last group stage game. That's good.
No coincidence that it's a central american team though  I wonder if they actually have figure ratings to base their programming decisions and really consider which matches to show or they just think more central americans will watch than south americans.
