"Time to expand MLS in Canada" plays on the worst stereotype, that everything in Canada is the same.

I find it interesting that Garber said 18 teams by 2012. It wasn't too long ago that 16 was the number he was sticking with and no more. I guess it can only be a good thing for the proposed cities, as long as these teams can compete with the rest. I dont really like parity, but in a way, it keeps us guessing who will win all the way up to the season's end.

I think Vancouver would probably be the most likely choice, maybe with Montreal a close second.
Personally, I don't really want to expand more into Canada. Not because I don't like Canada (don't get me wrong, I love the way that the Toronto fans are coming out), but I just want to keep the MLS as much of an American league as possible.
Plus, just because something is successful in one part of Canada, doesn't mean it will be successful in another part. So, we can't just assume that if a team was placed in Montreal or Vancouver that the fan support would be as fervent there as it is in Toronto.

New York #2 and Vancouver are itching to get in that's why.

You're an NHL Fan, and you want to talk about "horrible ratings"?
Hahahhahaaahaahahahhahhahahhahahhahahahaaaa... Whew... outta breath...
Hahahhahahhahahhahhahahhhahahhahhaaa... That... was... hilarious... This was supposed to be a joke right? No? You actually believe NHL has better ratings than MLS? You might want to look again.

Yeah New York # 2 would be a really good idea seeing that New York #1 has been dragging this league down single hadedly for years and also no Northeastern team has an SSS after ********ing twelve years!

Montreal should get an expansion franchise. They have an owner who has the money to make it happen and an already established fan base that gets over 11K for every game for the USL. I'm not sure what the numbers were for the USL's Toronto Lynx, but Montreal has had more support than Toronto in the USL and look how well they are doing there.
They have the infrastructure in place (with a youth team as well), a new stadium in 2008 (that can be adjusted for MLS) and a very multicultural city. Add that they had the highest attendance in Canada for the U-20 World Cup, they should get a team. A rivalry with Toronto would be huge as well.
