I personally think we have a very good chance of finishing in a UEFA cup spot this season,If we can get the players to gel quickly,Which is important,Then i see no problem.

Id be interested to know how the summers whirlwind at the club has affected your expectations? If no money had come in i fear we would have gone down,So this could be a massive turn in fortunes,Hopefully.

It was pretty much all or nothing regarding the takeover - Had we not been taken over we would have been badly struggling and probably relegated. It gave us a lifeline and we've signed what seem to be quality players. I'd say top 10 this season and anything more is a bonus. The squad need time to gell and theres injuries which could badly affect us, teams around us have also improved and there are a lot of teams which have had substancial investment but there are only a few UEFA Cup positions. I'd love it if we did and it would signify such a turnaround but we can't expect miracles overnight.

I'll go with something between 9-11, mainly because as I'm watching this Valencia friendly it seems like we need to give time for this team to play together. A bit scrappy, not a lot of team work right now and the speed of valencia is causing some problems on the wings. I'd expect a slow start to the season but we should be able to pick it up as the season moves along.

Top 8.

Based on our signings, our preseason form, and fixtures order, I would say between 7th-9th. We will most likely finish on the edge of Euro qualifying but hold a threatening (and more cohesive) form for our next campaign. As long as we end in the top 10 I think we will all consider the takeover a success.

That said, we may have a chance at the FA Cup (likely easier sides at the beginning so our disparate play will be less of a burden; more difficult later, when our squad has solidified), so maybe UEFA is not far off.

I think top 8 is a fair expectation to have for City this year. With a top ten finish I will of content, if we qualify for Europe the masses will be singing Sven's praises.

I think number 7, even if we start out crap, i think thaskin has more loot to spend in jan. also in the fa cup i predict a bad showing only for reasons that we've had the luckiest draws the past two seasons and we're due for a ruff one.

Thaskin will definitely be spending more loot in January if this offseason is any sign.

If we finish in the top half, i'll be delighted. I think next year is the season we qualify for Europe. But hell, if it happeneds this season than drinks are on me when we all get together.

I think it's going to be agreat season for City.

Top 10 finish is for sure, but I think we can even do better.

People criticize the Sven move but what they don't realize is his winning percentage was one of the best in England national team history....he just continually choked at the big stage. So Man City fans I believe you can make it to Europe and the "Big Stage"....however be prepared to fall short and choke time after time. lol.

After seeing what our team can do I am expecting to be in qualifications for Europe this year. As long as we remain healthy I think we have a really good shot.

The victory over Man Utd is awsome. However, looking at the stats and reading the match review, it appears that we were out-played despite the victory. Tevez missed a few good chances. So would you say that we got lucky?

I'd say our defense is world class and our finishing will get better as the season goes on. As far as the defense goes, I believe we will continue to blank some teams, and as long as we can finish, the games we were drawing last year suddenly become wins this year. We are only three games into the season, but thus far its looking pretty decent.

At the beginning of the year I had you guys at 12th, now I must say that you could do as well as 6th or 7th. Cannot believe it but it seems that what Sven could not do for England he is doing for City.
