I don't wanna spoile all the fun and I wish I'll be wrong but it doesn't seems that the coaches of the French clubs is actually building on most of the Colombians. the biggest disappointed for me is the fact that Edixon Perea, scorer machine in Nacional 2 years ago, barely played in Bordeaux in the last couple years. it's not that he played and wasn't good. his coach barely gave him minutes. with 10 minutes here and 15 minutes there, he obviously can't prove nothing. Yepes is another case. one of the best defenders in the world until last year for me, and now he doesn't even know if the coach will build on him. maybe Pino and Guarin, who get chances so far, will do something...they both very young and very talented, I just hope they will prove that they deserve a place in the first 11. especially Pino, a rare talent who can make it to the highest levels if he won't let his caracter to be on his way. Yanez and Sanchez, I dont think they'll get to many chances and Wason Renteria could help Strasbourg, but like Perea he have to play. it's not that they are such a big club with star players. we also have Victor Montano in Montpellier, another talented forward, but like his brother, disappeared very fast.
and yet, good like for all the Colombians who play across the globe.

Laurent Blanc interwied by a French radio yesterday or the day before stated that Perea (and Cavenaghi but he's from Argentina) will have their chance but that they weren't fit yet (especially Perea who hadn't come back from holidays or was just doing so).
I think that Yepes has 50% chances of leaving (or staying) because Paris is trying to cut wages and he's got one of France highest salary. Paul Le Guen is a great coach and it might be a nice year for Paris after 2006/2007 nightmare.
Pino is clearly not wanted by Ricardo
Lorient will have a tough year and Saint-Etienne, still a bit messy, seems to count on Guarin so i think both players will play numerous matches...
Sorry i haven't heard anything about the others...
Bernard Lacombe, Lyon special advisor, who is also one of the pundits of OLTV says quite often nice things about Guarin and when you know he did that for Bodmer, Belhadj, Keita, Toulalan who knows what may happen.

Latests rumours here have been that Monaco is eager to offload him to get an extra non-UE spot. Pino answering to that by saying he wants to stay and impress the new coach.
Of course rumours are only rumours...

this is what annoys me with euro leagues... whats the whole thing with non UE players when every single argie that goes there doesnt take one out... u give some BS o his great grand ma was Spanish or italian.... Same can be sad about alot of people. Euros need to be realistic their leagues wouldnt be good w/o SA players, and whats the diff with having a Czech player or a COlombian player neither is French or Spanish or Itlaian... so why make it so much harder for the Colombian player than the czech player.
All leagues should just have the english visa program, if ur good enough u can play if not u cant.
Any way Pino scored in the last 2-3 games and looked impressive, but if he isnt going to play hope he gets traded or sold. No point of having him eat bench

I just finished watching Strasbourg match vs. Marseille. fast game but without any real chances. Wason, like his whole team, wasn't do much exept one great chance that he had in the 63rd minute, when he got the ball 10 meters from the goal, turn and kick but the keeper saved it wonderfully. he also got a yellow card. but the good news is that he played 90 minutes, and he can give good season in this small team.

Yepes and IRC are done .... after Copa America think they will end up in the MLS soon. Yepes to NYRBs and IRC to finally be a galatico after turning down Real MAdrid in 99 he will join LA galaxy in 2008:D
but seriously Yepes hasnt fully recovered from his injury and his time is up with Mosquera in Sevilla and Zapata in Udinese think both of them have finally been replaced
glad carlos sanchez did so well for his team, and think he won the coachs confidence... too bad Pino and Guarin didnt really have good games
