Good research, FearM9!
Interesting that the June 29 SJ vs. Boston garnered the largest TV viewership YTD. I would have thought it would have been a Freedom game...

I hope the ratings improve and maybe WUSA soccer will get a major TV contract with ESPN, ABC, NBC, or CBS. I like women's soccer. Mia Hamm, Brandi Chastain and Brianna Scurry could show some male soccer players a few things ;)

Also, that 4 PM time slot is when many people are still on soccer fields during the spring season. June 29th would be the quiet week before leagues start up summer play.

Hope we see a big spike upward in the July 20 numbers as that should show us how the league's competitive nature is being followed.
A matchup of #1 & #2 teams should, in theory, be the most attractive broadcast for any league. Hope that great numbers for 7/20 will show that people care about and respond to the quality of play in WUSA and not just the personalities of "stars".

Now that is a great response.
Hope the trend continues with the next two matchups (last week & this) featuring critical playoff battles.

WNBA ratings, even at their lowest, have been about 9 times the WUSA ratings (though it's not a totally fair comparison because of the respective networks and time slots):
05/25/02...Saturday...1.1...1,192,000
05/27/02...Monday.....1.4...1,434,000
06/02/02...Sunday.....1.1...1,123,000
06/22/02...Saturday...0.7.....703,000
06/23/02...Sunday.....0.9.....944,000
07/13/02...Saturday...0.8.....828,000
07/20/02...Saturday...0.6.....607,000
AVERAGE...............0.9.....975,857
I don't have share numbers, sorry.
I don't have the numbers carried out to that many decimals, so the WUSA PAX numbers you have posted, going out to three decimals, are very useful.

More good news as they get the top rating of the year on the 27th. Need to see two more in this range for the end of the regular season.
Wish I knew some families with these books.

Show them what? Their bras? Hope you are not serious. Do you think the women's national team could keep the men's team under 20 goals? Doubtful.

How do the WUSA TV ratings compare with MLS? Considering how popular basketball is in the US vs soccer, that might be a better comparison.

Good question, and it's open to interpretation. You could say that because one's on cable and one's ostensibly over-the-air (though carried on cable quite a bit, as well as some dishes and things), that it's not a completely valid comparison, but I believe that ESPN2 and PAX are available in roughly the same number of American households, are they not? In which case, MLS is doubling WUSA's ratings, and then some.
Which makes sense, since MLS crowds are about twice that of WUSA as well.
