Didn't know where else to put this, so new thread.
I saw a plane crash/accident today, while at work. Fortunately no one was injured. I was working, and just happened to see a small, single-engine Cessna type coming in to land so I just parked my car and watched because I was bored. The wind was gusting pretty strongly, and a few seconds after the plane had landed a gust of wind flipped the plane up onto is side, with one wing and the tail touching the group and then the plane flipped over on to its roof. There were two people inside and they were able to get out on under their own power.
Very weird to see something like that live and in person.
Post your own odd and/or rarity stories that don't fit the other threads here, I suppose.

I once was on a stage with our team getting this award and they called us up one by one to fill out the stage. Well when the guy calls my name I jog up the stairs, put a foot on the stage, foot flies out from under me, and I end up on my ass in front of our whole school. lol. Not really something as bad as what you saw but I had that feeling everyone hates. Did that just happen?

When I was younger(about 16) I used to work construction. I was helping this plumber called Pat who was about 50, he was cutting a pipe with an electric saw. Next thing he just keels over and falls down. I first thought was that he got an electic shock as there were some wires around the place. I turned him over but he was unconscious and not breathing. Tried to revive him for a minute and then ran to another part of the building where there was a nurse who also tried to revive him. Eventually an ambulance came but he was pronounced dead shortly after. Turned out he had a brain hemorage. I remember just before the incident, we were talking about the upcoming All-Ireland Hurling Final. Chatting with him one minute, dead the next.

You live in Minnesota, create the "Did that just happen" Thread on the day when a major bridge in Minneapolis collapsed, and actually write about a plane crash? I was 100% sure you were gonna talk about the bridge here.

Yeah, I was expecting something about the bridge too.
Anyway, a few weeks ago I was driving down I5 in Stockton (4 lanes in each direction), and I see a bunch of cars in front of me slamming on their brakes. But I couldn't see anything in front of them, just a big empty freeway. No accident, nothing.
Upon further inspection, it was a ~400lb pot bellied pig deciding to go for a stroll.

Yeah, I heard about the bridge about a minute after I started this thread. Didn't know to put it here or where since info coming out was so new. Been a bit of an odd day. My bridge post is in the anger thread.
The Twins cancelled their game tomorrow and possibly their home weekend series, and the T-Wolves cancelled their press conference scheduled tonight.
Cell phone service in the state was out for awhile as the networks were being flooded.
And EVERY ambulance in Minneapolis was told to respond to the bridge collapse.
What a day.
