According to the article linked below (in German), you guys are going to to play a lot of your home matches next season in Duesseldorf's LTU Arena while the expansion of the BayArena is completed.

The article says it will be the last home match of the first half of the season and all of the home matches in the second half of the season. The BayArena expansion is expected to be completed in time for the 2009/2010 season.

The article also says the cost of the expansion has gone up from an estimated 57 million Euros to around 70 million Euros because of the rising costs of building materials and personnel.

yes this is true....Leverkusen is bringing a bit Bundesliga feeling to Düsseldorf...so we will be playing the last season games in Düsseldorf.....will be a lot of fun:)....Leverkusen did not want to play in Cologne stadium, cause they are our big rivals.....

nevertheless...morgen is our big day....Leverkusen UEFA CUp AGAINST HSV...I will be in the stadium...hope we will win...despite Hamburg is also very good....they had more good luck this weekend..we will see...:)

"Stefan Kießling (24) has penned a two year extension to his current contract which was due to end on 30 June 2010. The striker, signed from 1. FC Nürnberg in 2006, has now committed himself to Bayer 04 Leverkusen until 30 June 2012 ."

Two more years to learn to be cool in front of the net.

If this kid can learn that, he'll lead the Bundesliga in scoring one day.......

Understandable. If something happened to the Westfalenstadion, we would not play our matches at Schalke, even though theirs is the second biggest stadium in the area and very close. We would probably play at Duesseldorf too.

I think Schalke and Gladbach would do the same.

The LTU Arena is a great stadium currently being wasted on Regionalliga football.

Will watch on TV. I can't say that I prefer you guys or HSV. I just hope the best team wins and no one gets hurt.

First half was a very tactical affair with both teams playing it rather safe and boring which almost made me sleep. 2nd half was much better with goals chances in both ends and more open play.

I was hoping you guys would beat (H)eute (S)chon (V)erloren and you did! Very important that you kept clean sheet at home, now go to Hamburg and score on set pieces and let the home team work their ass off trying to score 3 goals :p

Congrats on the win, and I expect you to advance further!

I can't believe that the "small" striker Gekas managed to score a header goal against the tall HSV defence! How could that happen???

Congrats on the win! The clean sheet could become very important in the end...

Effort maybe?

Yep. But not if HSV turns around and does the same thing in Hamburg......

Just hope that Skibbe isn't silly enough to go to Hamburg and try to defend a one-goal lead.

You seriously need to work on the defensive end if you want to to advance further. The defense gave up way too many opportunities and way too easy. Adler was great as usual, nothing but praise for him.

It was great to see Barbarez score in his home city and he was very emotional about it. The positive thing was Bayer effectiveness in front of goal. HSV could learn a thing or two from that.

I wonder if the match would have ended 3-2 if Guerrero was given the red card in the 1st half as he should clearly have had. Nevertheless a really high quality entertaining match and congrats on the advancement. I can't say I'm surprised.

Glückwunsch zum Weiterkommen! Not conceding a goal at home is always an important step to go through...

However, Skibbe's guys were on the edge of failing after Van der Vaart's 3:2. And Adler was very solid once again.

Carsten Ramelow finish his career with Bayer with immediate effect:

from Kicker:
