Looks like it will be on just in time for the EPL start...
Now, why did I have to change from Bell Expressvu to Videotron last...
(Oh yeah, better service, better Internet, better prices...)

In spite of reports in various media quoting Setanta's claims that it will be and running in time for the start of the EPL season, try calling ExpressVu or Rogers. Their staff know absolutely nothing !!!

Since foreign stations need a Canadian partner to broadcast here, and I heard talk of Setanta partnering with Rogers to launch Setanta Canada, this could likely be the CRTC licence application, which in turn, would mean there is NO way Setanta will be on the air before the start of the season, since the CRTC hearing isn't until August 27th.

Interesting in that it refers to Sportsnet 2. I just wish the picture was a bit clearer (pun intended!) when it comes to this 'mythical' Setanta channel! (Especially since the season is less than 10 days away!

Looks like Setanta is broadcasting the Monday games so it's goodbye FSWC!

Yup. About the only thing that FSC/FSWC has that Setanta doesn't is the FA Cup matches. It also had the Charity Shield last week...

For Canadian viewers it appears that SportsNet is limited to
showing only the Saturday 10.00am EST EPL game this season,
while The Score has the rights to show the Sunday 11.00amEST
EPL game.
Setanta is suppose to have the "Canadian" rights to show
other Saturday EPL games - unfortunately Setanta is not available
to cable subscribers which means -at least for me - a reduction from 5 to 2
games per weekend compared to last year.

Setanta is available on the two biggest cable systems, Rogers and Shaw.
