Anyway continuing discussion...
Whoever mentioned Anelka, not that his opinion really has a bearing on anything, but Pires said recently he thinks Anelka is France's best attacking player. Including Henry
God I hope this permit gets approved...

We will find out whether he got his work permit in 24 hours.
I just don't see it getting rejected. Too bad it will be a while before I get to see him in action since I won't get to watch the Ajax tournament.

He better *flails fist wildly*
I think he could be a really big player for us. Maybe not this season, but next, definitely.

By the looks of it, he had a better start than Baptista .. Almost everyone who's seen him says he's a Wenger-buy .. So hopefully he does get his work permit, and start banging in some goals ..
Like Teso said in the previous thread, i'd rather not have any excuses this time ..

No offense to thread title creator--or anyone else ever--but maybe we should start calling Eduardo "the Dude"...in referece to...so many good things.

The Dudu abides.
Beat me to it. Tried to rep you, but the button doesn't seem to work at all -- not a "you must spread" thing, nothing happens when you click it.

I think BigSoccer needs a Work Permit since this upgrade. Has too many errors and too few NT caps to stay online :p

 Now my rep button works! I tried to rep you for that, and I got a "You must spread" blah blah blah :D.
Now I'll rep whoever I was going to rep yesterday when the button didn't work, which (I think) will allow me to rep you for that great post.

It appears I spoke too soon :o - when I tried to rep the person I wanted to rep yesterday, it didn't work. I tried again on the next couple posts, and I got a "You must spread..."
So apparently the button only works on people you can't rep.

You have to right click the icon and open it in a new window .. Then the rep thing comes and then you can do it .. Pretty tedious i should say .. Hopefully they're working on that ..

Bilic - Arsenal will be delighted with 'unbelievable' Eduardo (http://www.arsenal.com/article.asp?thisNav=news?id=newsheadline&article=479701&cpid=703&title=Bilic+-+Arsenal+will+be+delighted+with+%27unbelievable%27+Eduardo)
Eduardo belongs at Arsenal according to Croatian manager Slaven Bilic.
"He is one of them," said Bilic watching Eduardo about to board the Arsenal bus with his team-mates after the game. “He looks straight away like he belongs there. "Okay, it is pre-season still, his legs are a bit heavy and he looked as if he lacked freshness in the game.
"But the main point is that we never doubt that he belongs there. I'm sure that [Arsenal] are going to be delighted with him. A wonderful player, a wonderful man. The guy is unbelievable.
"Last year he scored 54 goals in all competitions for Dinamo Zagreb and for the national team,” Bilic went on. “54 goals!”
"I know some people think he is just a goalscorer and he is a goalscorer but not like someone like [Filippo] Inzaghi. His game doesn't depend on scoring goals.
"He is not the [type of striker] who is going to stay in the box. OK, he can do that. If you tell him stay in the box, he will stay in the box. But it would be criminal to use a player of such quality only in the box. He can be a lone striker, he can play off the striker. He is individual but first of all he is a team player.”
Off the pitch, the Brazilian-born front man has fitted in well before and, Bilic argues, his move to Emirates Stadium will benefit the whole of football in his country
“He came to Croatia when he was 16,” said the ex-Everton man. “And all the people in Croatia treat him as a 100 per cent Croatian. Remember he was a captain of Dinamo Zagreb. You cannot be captain of such a big club if you are not considered Croatian.
“You can't not love him. He is an unbelievable guy. It's such a great thing for the Croatian League, for Eduardo and the national team and everybody in Croatia. Our players don't go to Arsenal every day and I think he is going to open the space for a few others.”
All there's left to do is get his work permit .. How long before it'll be announced ?
