I'm guessing this is how the transfer rumor go started... His agent shopped around a bit to see what wages desperate teams were willing to pay. The media got wind and ran with it. God, I hate the English media.
if I had a guess, I think this is what happened too

Clever move by Arsenal on the timing. "Eddie we need you to lead the line and bag the goals for us for the rest of the season. By the way, here's a new deal for confidence."

ya scally, but we arent going to make a longterm deal based on an injury for 4 weeks.
dudu was always going to get an extension.

Wanted to bump this for all the crazy talk about Eduardo this week. He's scoring at least one, if not 4-5 goals this weekend. Bank it :p

Shame on you turncoats!

No kidding, Eduardo has 2 bad games and all of a sudden he's a shit player? It's laughable.

The thing I always loved about Eduardo was his casual arrogance in the way he put away chances. I wonder if he's not still a little bit affected by the whole diving thing, and it plays in his mind a bit every time a challenge is coming in. Nevermind the fact that he broke his leg (which I honestly think he showed no fear from when he returned.)

Regardless, a good run in the side and he'll be bangin' em in like whoa.

Eduardo is a good player, but he has been lacking lately. He seems very hesitant and not sure of himself. If he can get in a goal or 2 I think he'll start to regain some confidence and get back into form. Also, he seems to work best alongside a larger striker (Ade when he was here, Bendtner, RvP).

I hope you are right. Seems like his bad form has continued since missing the PK in Rome.

That's positive thinking.

I think if there's one player who holds the key to the rest of our season it's him. And that's a big ask, considering the injury mess we find ourselves in again.

Tomorrow's another day... let's see a big effort and a big victory!!
