Well actually looks like a post for the US Nats forum.
Back on topic, very bad news for Nik Ledgerwood - out for 4 months???? I was hoping to see him get a bit more playing time this season but Schwarz has been doing extremely well.

I guess that or Yanks Abroad. Either way, we want nothing to do with many of those guys. Most of us here are too realistic about our guys for those forums! ;)

Yeah. Sad thing that happened to Nik. But, he'll be back. Right in time to play a role in the most important part of the season.

At first I thought it was a joke, but 17-0 was actually the final score.

Antonio di Salvo scored a hat-trick for the "Lions"

Goal-hungry "Lions"

With 72 minutes gone, TSV 1860 München finally exercised leniency in their friendly match at SV Breitenbrunn.

1,000 fans had seen a goal feast since then, with 1860 already leading 17-0!

Mustafa Kucukovic, Berkant Göktan, Antonio Di Salvo and Alexander Eberlein all scored a hat-trick.

Marco Kurz's team had needed less than two minutes to open the scoring through Göktan.

Line-up 1860: Hofmann - Burkhard (62. Johnson), Szukala, Berhalter, B. Schwarz (46. Hoffmann) - D. Schwarz, Eberlein - Ziegenbein (46. Thorandt), Göktan, Holebas (46. Bierofka) - Kucukovic (46. Di Salvo).

Goals: 0:1 Göktan (2.), 0:2 Holebas (5.), 0:3 Szukala (8.), 0:4 Ziegenbein (17.), 0:5 Kucukovic (19.), 0:6 Kucukovic (24.), 0:7 Kucukovic (29.), 0:8 Holebas (30.), 0:9 Göktan (37.), 0:10 Di Salvo (53.), 0:11 D. FF1 and russ99... thanks for the updates on Josh Wolff... glad to hear he is taking well to the team, city, surroundings (not hard to do...Munich is freakin amazing!).

I am hoping Josh comes back into the USMNT fold. I have always enjoyed him, especially his days in Chicago. I felt it was a mistake every letting him go, but consistant injuries forced him away.

I too am also hoping like BLTLEO that the München Derby will one day fill the Allianz! I may have to be present for that one! (good luck getting tickets right?!!).

WOW!

I'd have thought that 1860 would have shown mercy at halftime and sub in a fresh 7-10 guys, but whatever. :p

I'm glad DiSalvo is still putting them in the net. We'll need him while Schroth is out. New boy Kucukovic did pretty well too.

As for Ledgerwood, Schroth and Tschauner, they'll be back after Winterpause and we'll probably need them by then.

I was a bit miffed when the Fire let Wolff go too, especially since it seemed at the time he was turning the corner and becoming a top striker. Maybe someday he'll come back after helping 1860 back into the Bundesliga and helping them chase after a few trophies, just like my favorite player, Piotr Nowak! :D

BTW: I hate FC Bayern, but even in my jaded viewpoint, Ribery is an awesome player. Maybe he'll open some eyes with even bigger clubs in a few years and Bayern won't be able to keep him. :p

Sweet! I'll be listening. :D

Kicker's Lineup:
M. Hofmann - Thorandt, Ghvinianidze, Berhalter, T. Hoffmann - D. Schwarz, L. Bender - Wolff, Göktan, Bierofka - di Salvo

Only Schroth, Ledgerwood and Tschauner are out. Our backup keeper for this match is Andreas Rössl, who's played 7 matches this season for our II team.

Is anyone going to be @ the Koblenz match on the 30th? I'll be in town for Oktoberfest and plan on catching this one straight from the airport.

No comments on the draw in Aachen and 1860 retaining their slight grip on first place??

Did you see the game? I didn't catch it on bwin (i think they are charging for the video now). I forgot about Milchraum. 0-0 draw away at a Aachen is a decent result. A fair amount of 1.Liga experience remaining in that side. The only thing I got from the recap on Kicker was that Hofmann had to play very well in the first half.

Also, there seemed to be a late flurry of good scoring chances by 1860 in the last few minutes, but Aachen held the score level.

If 1860 can tie the good teams (especially on the road) and beat the lesser ones, we'll be in really good shape.

Bwin's charging now for that horrible little video feed? No thanks. Also, I can't get the web radio feed to work on my computer - I have a Mac and ActiveX plug-ins don't work on my system. :(

Back to the ticker for me...

They are not charging in a direct sense, BUT you have to have money in your account. And that must be from a non-USA credit card.

Kicker's ticker is a lot less verbose, and would be easier to read with less German exposure, but it updates much more slowly. Bundesliga.de has a minimal lag, if you can deal with the more flowery German.

Maybe we can petition that audio plug-in provider to support Firefox... :D
