Well as a Bayern fan, I am absolutely disgusted by that match guys. Just pathetic...and horrible reffing: Ribery the penalty call, etc... Do I think we dominated the game for the most part...yes, but you guys never gave up.

I expect a full write up, in english, from those of you who watched this match! The only thing I can understand at this point is that Ribery is Loewen enemy #1 at the moment.

These scumbags spend 70M Euros on players and they have to resort to CHEATING to beat a f#cking injury depleted 1860 team!!

You got that right! The shame of 1. BL are these cheats.

I would blame the ref first. It should never have come to that if the ref would have called the TSV player for holding on to his jersey down the line.
Ribery's acting was pathetic.
TSV held their own, but even down to 10 men for a good portion, the ball remained in the TSV 1/2. Bayern blew several GREAT chances to score before the joke at the end.

Though i must say Bayern was the more active team
and i would have called a penalty for them in the
regular playtime (foul on Lucio),
loosing in last minute of extra-time is very bitter,
especially with this kind of penalties.
I think it was a "Konzessionsentschedidung (?), because
the referee didn't gave the penalty in the regular playing time.
That match deserved a penalty shout-out.
Cudos to the brave defending and the good 60-support.

Marco Kurz has my complete respect as a coach!
Not only did he give an injury-depleted 1860 squad the tactical plan to hang with BAYSCUM (shit on them!), but after his team had been f#cking ass-raped by a horrible f#cking referee and a cheating French c#nt, Kurz showed nothing but class and dignity.
He gave the horrible referee the benefit of the doubt, even acknowledging the Lucio penalty should have been called.
Kurz did not whine. He did not bitch. He did not complain. He set a true example of INTEGRITY for his young team.
Be proud tonight guys. A club who spent 70 million Euros on players before this season was just reduced to CHEATING to beat Der Loewen.
I'm pretty f#cking proud of Kurz, Reuter and the boys.
Going to bed and going to hope that the two injuries suffered tonight are not bad ones.....

Well, not having had the opportunity to see the match or follow the ticker for the 2nd half, this just sounds like typical Bayern controversy. I have to reiterate DeadFingers words... hats off to 1860 München for such an amazing display. You are the second team in a row that played a 4-5-1 against Bayern and managed to take the game for as long as it would go... no thanks to the official.
Shame there isn't a Cup replay like in England. Penalties seemed to be the fair conclusion to this match.

Congrats on this impressive fight from your young team, you can be proud of the guys!
Your were close to the sensation and didn't deserve to lose the game this way ... but that's football. Chin up!
Btw: I've never before seen Greg Berhalter as good as tonight! Superb performance ... in contrast to Mucki, who played as badly as I know him from last season in Fürth.
PS: Anybody has got some infos about Bierofka's and Hofmann's injuries? You simply can't have more bad luck than you had tonight...

Bullshit!! THAT FOUL WAS OUTSIDE THE AREA!!
Very close decision. You can give a free kick or a penalty kick ... and I think the referee decided for a pk due to the fact that he denied Bayern a possible pk in the last minute of the regular time. And the yellow-red card against the Löwen LB was justified as well (very stupid action from that young guy, despite Ribery's shameful acting)...

Don't think so. Well, the pk for Bayern is debatable ... but you can give it. The only wrong call was that scene in the last minute of the regular time, when he should have awarded your guys with a pk.
Otherwise, the referee & his linesmen were absolutely ok in my eyes.
Kurz did not whine. He did not bitch. He did not complain.
And what are you doing, dear Keith? :p
Buona notte.

Well done 1860 for pushing Bayern all the way. Shame that Schwarz had to throw a wobbly near the end which clearly unsettled our defence, resulting in the shady penalty decision. The foul was definitely outside the area, but Bayern should have had a penalty 30 minutes earlier when I think the forward fell to ground too easily and influenced the referee to ignore it. Should have taken advantage of Bayern being on 10 men for much of the second half after Luca "I've got arms and I'm going to use them" Toni got sent off for another stupid shove.
Can't wait to see these two go at it in league play. Shouldn't be too long on that performance. And maybe extra time has helped tire Bayern and will be enough to throw a spanner in their championship charge.
Referee was spot on except for the two penalties. The one he didn't give, and the one he did.
What's with Toni injuring a Lion on every single attack? Offside when he kicked the goalie, and then the hit on the defender when he put the ball in the net.
I felt like I have learnt my team tonight, not seen them in years, and in 120 minutes I have got to know 14 of them very well.

Two things that are different Uwe. Am I in the f#cking BayScum thread? No. This is the 1860 thread!
That's one.
The other thing, you called Stuttgart losing to Jena on penalties "a disgrace."
I don't think you know how that word is used. Stuttgart were in "German Championship" form LAST SEASON. They aren't the same team now.
And losing in any Cup competition on penalties to a team just one division below isn't "a disgrace!"
CZ Jena are a 2. Liga club! If Stuttgart had lost to say, FSV Erlangen-Bruck, THAT would be a "disgrace!"
Stuttgart losing to CZ Jena is an "upset", but it's not a f#cking "disgrace."
What is a "disgrace?"
Shit like Ribery's acting last night!!!
THAT WAS A "DISGRACE!"
Those are the differences. How about you just f-off now?
Sorry 1860 fans, but I needed to respond to his bullshit.

Don't think so. Well, the pk for Bayern is debatable ... but you can give it.
I disagree. As a state-level referee I can assure you "make up" calls are something you do not give. If you miss it, and you KNOW you missed, you do not give make up calls because that impunes your integrity TWICE, not once. You do not give calls like that in the dying minutes of a match like that unless you are 100%, unequivilocally, beyond a doubt, swear-to-God certain that it was in the box. AND....you don't give it for such obvious embellishment. Give the foul? Yes! Give a PD? No friggin' way!!! Give Frogboy a card? Absolutely!!!! That was the most shameful French act since the Vichey Government endorsement of a certain German Regime in 1940.
The only wrong call was that scene in the last minute of the regular time, when he should have awarded your guys with a pk.
Naw....saw that. I will agree with you that if you give shiite like the Floppery foul, then you can give THAT one as well.
As I said in the Pokal thread, if I were a Bayern fan I would be REALLY worried about IF they win the Meister this year that THAT team will be lucky to get past the group stage of the CL next year. So much talent....so little execution.

Stuttgart losing to CZ Jena is an "upset", but it's not a f#cking "disgrace."
If I were an VfB fan I could see being upset enough to call losing to Jena a disgrace. But, put in perspective of disgraceful acts, compared to last night I would be holding my head high as a VfB fan knowing my team plays with honor and loses with honor. Clearly Bayern, when faced with the brink of elimination, has to resort to out-right cheating in order to secure a win. VfB has too much honor for that and is why I like them.

Garry, that's the problem with the entire argument. The guy calling the loss a "disgrace" is not a VfB fan. The VfB fans were very classy in breaking down the loss and congratulating Jena. But none of them were that down on the team. They seem to understand the situation.
Only "Borussia" was there, on their thread, telling them their loss was a "disgrace."
Garry, I don't care if the bottom team of the 2. Liga beats the first place team in the 1. Liga, that loss for the 1. Liga club is not a "disgrace" in my opinion.
There isn't that much of a gap between the two Bundesligas anymore.
Was I surprised by the upset? F#ckin' A, I was.
A "disgrace?" No.
EDIT ADDITION: Hell! As a matter of fact, KC on our e-mail list CALLED THAT UPSET!!!! He said Jena would win after a penalty shootout!
As I said, what Ribery did last night was a "disgrace."
What VfB did in the CL this season was a "disgrace."
Losing to 2. Liga team in Cup match on penalties? No.
From where I sit, that is not a "disgrace" and I think anyone who believes so is arrogant about 1. Liga football and out of touch with the standard of football in Germany today.
Just like had Hoffenheim beaten BVB last night, I would have been angrier than the VfB fans seemed to be (I think they were in shock), but I would have never called it a "disgrace." I actually thought Hoffenheim had a good chance to beat us.
I never thought 1860 would hang like they did. And to have it taken the way it was taken? That, my friend, was a "disgrace."
Same here. I used to hate VfB, but that kind of melted away once that rat bastard Elber joined the rest of the SCUM on the red side of Munich. You've mailed with me long enough to know that.
Not only did Ribery resort to cheating, I wouldn't be surprised if that referee got a cross-eyed look from Hoeness just before he gave that penalty.

I enjoyed the game and was very disappointed to see it determined by a bad call. It was nice to go to a bar and root for 1860. I got a number of uncommitted's to root for the Sechziger. It was a nice effort and 4-5-1 was a good strategy.

Well now that the Bayern drama is over, what do you guys think about our chances the rest of the way?
Bierofka's injury has to lessen our chances, but maybe the squad can step it up a little seeing how well they can play vs. a top 1. Liga side.
Any ideas on when we can get some of our walking wounded back? DiSalvo and Göktan especially...

I think we will most definately not be relegated this year.:D

He is out 6 weeks with a rupture of the left ankle ligaments. I do not expect an implosion because Kurz has a talented, young bench who are brimming full of confidence. I do not expect a chance at promotion now but I do expect this young team to get a shit-load of experience over the next two months. We will remain in the top 10 but we will fall off the promotion race. When a few others come back 100% we might make a late run. Much will depend on how the top 5 teams fare. If, as in years past, #1 pulls away and there is a 5-6 way right for third, we may have a chance.
Any ideas on when we can get some of our walking wounded back? DiSalvo and Göktan especially...
They won't be on the field anytime soon (within two weeks). Goektan is training and DiSalvo is in on-field rehab. Berkant will be back before anyone. I do not think you will see Schroth on the field at all this season. They won't risk a whole year of rehab just to put him out on the field for a few games. If he is not even in on-field work don't fool yourself that he will be back. Honestly, I would not be surprised if he retires. It has been 9 months and he is not on the field yet. At his age, he's done.
