Eep. Bad time to have to face Köln on the road, but I guess the good news is that Berhalter won't play due to his red card last week. :p Which just goes to show, even on a dark day, an 1860 fan can still take glee in making fun of Berhalter...
Here's the announced lineup:

I guess people started rumors with the "L-word" (Lauth) and 1860 again.
Reuter, being the outstanding manager that he is, shot them down quickly.
Reuter made it clear that the "L-word" is not an issue at 1860 because of his transfer fee and what he would demand in salary.
Very smart. He opened the door with a denial. In other words, "L-word, get your club to release you, lower your salary and then we can talk........"
Hate to say this guys, but the current crop just isn't getting the job done, I don't think the return of di Salvo will be the answer and Kuckuckovic (However you spell it) is showing why HSV gave up on him.
Josh Wolff? Disappointment.
Holebas? Potential, yes, but not ready yet.
I think Goektan's return will be the most important.
I'm not counting on anything from Schroth this season and there are some rumblings that he may be finished.
That is why I think the "L-word" rumors started.
What importance does this have? Not much really.
Just didn't want to talk about the Hoffenheim match...... ;)
I'd gladly welcome Benny back, but he's not the same player that left and Reuter is right in not wanting to pay a big salary and a transfer fee for him. If were doing a 2001 Löwen reunion, I'd much rather have Görlitz back.
I haven't given up on this season yet, hopefully Göktan can get them moving forward again, and while DiSalvo isn't the answer, he's streaky and maybe we can ride one of his goal streaks. Also, how's Pagenburg done so far?

Well, I don't think Andreas Görlitz is returning to 1860 anytime soon. He's done nothing but raise his stock at KSC.

No need to give up on the season. What is great is while 1860 is getting through this injury riddled "down" period, the top three are not really putting any distance between themselves and 1860.
I think it is absolutely amazing that 1860 is just five points from being in second place. I will not lie. I tipped Koln to win tonight because of 1860's injury/suspension problems. I think coming out of Koln with a point tonight would be amazing. But I also think a loss does not put 1860 out of the race.
'60 just has to be tough and fight for every point until they get some of their guys back.
Also, how's Pagenburg done so far?
Not so well. However, I believe that is because Kurz hasn't had the opportunity to use him properly because of all the injuries. Chunly has just had to be thrown in. I think he will be a great late match sub once everyone is back.

Dead wrong man. Gregg has been one of the best, if not THE BEST and most consistent '60 player this season. He's done a complete 180 from last season.
After seeing action from this season, even LoewenBoy told me privately that as long as Gregg keeps it up, he won't be making fun of him anymore.

Baumgartlinger and Holebas started instead of Johnson and Wolff. Johnson is not even listed as a sub (late injury?).

0-0 result at Koeln today, better than nothing I guess. We're not far back, but many teams are in contention.
Anyone have any news on Ledgerwood's recovery?

Anyone have anything to say about Schaffler's debut performance?

Still just four points out of second. I said a draw tonight would be amazing and the other results fell into place for '60. :D

I dug how he showed Mondragon no respect in going for a loose ball. Like that attitude. That being said, I hope it isn't necessary to see him again this season. :o

Youngest Loewen team in the club's history on the pitch...many of whom were playing on the U19 team 18 months ago. Pretty darn good result a scoreless away draw.

Played 60 minutes in II's 0-2 loss to Heimstetten. Trainer taking it slow and not putting him at risk.

Kucukovic has lead feet and a bad temper. Lucky not to have been sent off for his grotesque foul against the keeper in the Hoffenheim match. DFL was asleep for not punishing him after-the-fact. IMHO a good two match ban would send him a message...he is a red card waiting to happen.
@Russ99....dude, Berhalter is THE MAN this season. If not for him 1860 would be about 8 places lower and fighting off the relegation bug. He has been HUGE for 1860 and is nothing but a pure, solid, smart player this season. Seems Evil Gregg is back and I am VERY, VERY thankful for that. Props to Gregg in a BIG way!!!!!

Apparently there is some 1860 game on Wednesday:). Anyway, there are a few US based people on this board so I just wanted to note that the game will be on Setanta North America (2:30 ET and rebroadcast 6 hours later).
As I live in the Boston area there are a lot of Irish/English pubs with Setanta subscriptions I can go to (I just need to figure out one who will do it as there is a Rangers v. Hearts game on at the same time).
Also, thanks to all those who give us the 1860 info.

I decided not to spring for the $15 bucks a month for setanta, didn't seem to be worth it for the amount of games I'd watch on it. Hmmm.... maybe I can pick it up for a month, not sure if you have to subscribe long term.

Better to subscribe to the LoewenTV offer. US$18 for the rest of the spring season and you get all games, interviews, etc. Subscribed since the debut and has been a great service!!!!

Was really surprised to see that game on the Setanta schedule! Looking forward to it immensely!
LÖWEN!!! LÖWEN!!!
SECHZIG!!! SECHZIG!!!
There's only one team in Munich... one team in Muuuuunich...
Maybe after City doing the double over United for the first time in thirty odd years, plus Spurs creaming Arsenal 5-1 it's time for the Trifecta!
Heck if Aberdeen can get a draw with them using a bunch of 18yo's why can't we...

Why not do one better? There really is only one team in München and they wear light blue and white! ;)
I hope the lions crush FC Beschiß!

I'm doing that in tomorrow's match, but I admit that due to 1860's injury problems, I tipped Bayern to win BIG....... :(

I thought you would cheer for us b/c you hated Bayern?
Honestly cannot see us winning. I expect either a 1-4 loss or a 2-4 n.V. loss. Given how poorly the finishing has been lately I cannot see 60 scoring much. If the game is close we might have a chance, but good Lord is the team depleated.

We're arguing about it in the DFB Pokal Quarterfinals Thread (http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=654079)
Some of them are calling "awesome" and "funny."
I f#cking call it immature and stupid.
