I wonder if this is part of the TV deal - teams get their internet broadcast rights.

From what I remember, teams can't show entire matches because those rights belong to Deutsche Telekom and Premiere. I think those two entities have their own packages. D
Yes, I think you are absolutely right on this. One difference though with some clubs at least is that they offer full reserve team matches. So I thought perhaps that we could see all full 1860 II matches.
BVB has the same type of service called the "BVB Club." I don't know the prices for BVB's though. I get it free because I am one of their translators and we do our work on a volunteer basis. If it is going to be like the "BVB Club" there will be plenty of interviews and highlights of 1860 Matches. Just no full matches.
D
Yes, if the new 1860 service was as good as what you are describing with BVB that would be terriffic.
EDIT: "LoewenBoy" just e-mailed me the entire official statement. I could not access the link from here at the office. Full matches WILL be offered about fifteen minutes after the final whistle. The statement doesn't say it, but apparently they have a deal with Telekom/Premiere to offer the service.
D
 Guys, that is GREAT, GREAT NEWS, but are you SURE about this? As FF1 notes above, the rights to full matches are usually held by the broadcasters and sometimes with online rights, the leauges itself (as in England and France). Also, the presser on the website mentions only highlights. FF1 and LB have a great record when it comes to info, but full matches w/in 15 minutes of FT, I'm sorry I'm going to have to see it to believe...
This is great for Loewen fans all over the world! :D
"Great" only begins to describe it! :D

If I remember properly, the TV and Internet deals are totally independent of one another...

WTF happened today against FCA???
2 things. Defensive glue Torben Hoffmann was out with a fever and all our good attacking players are hurt. Lars Bender's not a central defender and Holebas/Gebhardt aren't the ideal creators up front.
Plus when they brought Pagenburg in, the put him at central midfield. He should be a CAM or a striker.
That, and also the decision to go with Hofmann over Tschauner was a poor one, IMO. If the kid's healthy, he should start.
Good wake-up call today. Make sure the players don't believe the hype due to the Bayern win and cup wins. Kurz will have them ready for next week, and hopefully we'll get some injured players back soon.
You don't want my opinion about the Bayern-1860 cup match draw...

I don't agree. You start the better keeper. And right now, that is Hofmann. Hofmann is more of a leader too.
I told you guys earlier in the season. I just don't buy all the hype they put out on Tschauner. He's good, but he's not that f&cking good.

And next week will not be easy. FCK is playing for their very existence.

Yes, I do want it. But looking at that, I'd say you're not happy? ;)

I understand, and your feeling about Tschauner may be correct, but Hofmann's in his last season as a pro and it would be better to see what Tschauner can do now, than after Hofmann retires. I thought he played well in the vorrunde, before getting hurt, so it's tough for him to lose his job after he gets healthy again.

No kidding. Any word on anyone coming back for that one?

Well, it will be fun to have a real derby again (and a really fun time in Munich that week:D), but after last season's St. Pauli loss, Bayern will be out for blood and unless the the 1860 missing strikers are healthy by the end of the month, it could be an blowout. On the other hand, there's a chance we could upset them, especially if they're still playing UEFA cup games and need to field a lesser or tired side against us.
I've seen too many lopsided derbies when 1860 were in the top flight. Talent-wise there's no way we can compete with them when there's something on the line, and if this team can lose 3-0 to Augsburg, it could get real ugly vs. Bayern.
Plus, if we're going to be beaten in the quarters of the Cup, it would hurt less if we lost to someone like Dortmund or Stuttgart. :o

You write like they don't see Tschauner in training and like he didn't play duing the first half of the season. You can't play a kid in league matches "just to see what you have."
He was handed the job at the beginning of the season. He did well, but despite the bit of hype surrounding him, I suspect Kurz saw that the steadying influence Hofmann brings is more valuable than anything Tschauner brings.
One bad match and you're here pretty much doubting Kurz' decision making. I think that is unfair.
Kurz' decision making is one of the major things that has gotten them this far. He obviously feels the veteran is better for his team.
I, for one, think the same way......
Plus, I have the sneaky suspicion that 1860 will have a chance at another veteran keeper this summer.
One whose last name begins with an "L". Nothing to that. Just a sneaky feeling I have.
No kidding. Any word on anyone coming back for that one?
It is a little early to mess with that question. I would wait until after training tomorrow to see who participates and who doesn't.

Dude, Bayern aren't in the best form themselves. WSV Wuppertal played right with them until Bayern finally prevailed. Bayern only won 2-1 in Rostock on Friday and if 1860 and Rostock were to play five times, I'd say 1860 would win three.
You seem to be afraid of Bayern. If 1860 gives their best effort and has a few things go their way, they can upset Bayern.

You seem resigned to defeat. I sure hope the team isn't thinking that way......

Ooh, that "L" keeper would be awesome, but I'd rather see Simon come back. Einmal, immer... :D I understand your views on the keeper situation, and yes it was bad that I sorta gave up on Hofmann after one game. I should let it play out before second guessing Kurz like that.
Don't get me wrong, beating Bayern would be super-sweet, but I'm expecting a much better effort from them than in our recent friendly draw. Not really resigned to defeat, but a win would be quite an upset. I was more hoping for a different draw.
Plus, Hoeness' peeved comments about their fans comparing Sechzig vs. Bayern makes me think they'll be really up for that match. Should be quite interesting.
Also, that video service works for Macs! I hope they take US credit cards.:D

Damn, is that why all the Kappa stuff in the online store is 50% off. I would order two shirts if not for the fact that shipping to the US is about $150.

I guess people started rumors with the "L-word" (Lauth) and 1860 again.
Reuter, being the outstanding manager that he is, shot them down quickly.
Reuter made it clear that the "L-word" is not an issue at 1860 because of his transfer fee and what he would demand in salary.
Very smart. He opened the door with a denial. In other words, "L-word, get your club to release you, lower your salary and then we can talk........"
Hate to say this guys, but the current crop just isn't getting the job done, I don't think the return of di Salvo will be the answer and Kuckuckovic (However you spell it) is showing why HSV gave up on him.
Josh Wolff? Disappointment.
Holebas? Potential, yes, but not ready yet.
I think Goektan's return will be the most important.
I'm not counting on anything from Schroth this season and there are some rumblings that he may be finished.
That is why I think the "L-word" rumors started.
What importance does this have? Not much really.
Just didn't want to talk about the Hoffenheim match...... ;)
