I noticed that too. They often disguise themselves as Bayern Fans but we know who they really support.
LOL! That is cheeky, mate.
Congrats on good outings the past two weeks for 1860. I do like to see 1860 do well, mainly because I like the thought of a München derby once again, and well, I just love the city of München itself as a whole - amazing place. I know that is blasphemous on these boards being a Bayern fan, but I guess by saying that I simply love the city, it would be conceivable that I could be Wolff (:p) in Bayern clothing.

Remember awhile back when "russ99" was dreaming about possibly getting Simon Jentzsch back at 1860 and I basically told him to "dream on?!"
Well, DREAM ON! You might have a shot!
Jentzsch has been CRAP for Wolfsburg most of this season and Magath makes no secret of the fact that he's contemplating getting a new keeper over the winter break.
Don't be surprised if Wolfsburg makes Arsenal an offer for Jens Lehmann as Magath is still convinced he can get VfL Wolfsburg into the top five this season.
The problem? Jentzsch recently extended with Wolfsburg until 2011 and is transfer rated by Transfermarkt.de at 3.75M Euros.
Of course, that price will drop, but I think Wolfsburg would still want to get at least 1.5 or 2M for him.

This game was an absolute disaster. I'll be @ the Aue game this Sunday, I hope someone can score some goals, please just Ein Tor for Christmas.

Damn man! I had a family event come up. I was going to be at that match too!
I think 1860 will beat Aue to close out the year.
All they are suffering from are the slew of injuries that "LoewenBoy" was worried about for so long.
Things should be better again after the winter break. I'm just happy they are still within four points of third place.

Omiya Ardija striker Daigo Kobayashi today will start training with 1860 Munchen in hopes for a permanent deal. It might be a good deal, I've seen him play and he is pretty okay. Don't think he's as good as Wolff though, and he's 24, so he's not a prospect either though.

Kicker mentioned this yesterday too. They called him a "midfielder/striker."
1860 are also reported to be on the verge of sealing a loan deal for FCN striker Chuly Pagenburg too.......
I don't think they will sign both players.
Kicker also reports that Mate G. will be back with the defense against Aue.

Here's hoping 1860 can close out the first half with a strong performance vs. Aue. They've been dragging the last couple of weeks. Good timing for the break.
Those transfer deals look pretty decent and I love the idea of getting Simon Jentzsch back, but unless 1860 sells someone good (and therefore needed to make a push towards the top 3 promotion spots), I really don't see how they have the cash.
I'm very encouraged that management is looking to bring in a player or two at the January window. It's been a long time since 1860 did that...

It's just the injuries. Just too many damned injuries.

They don't. I was mainly speculating on a loan deal. Especially if Wolfsburg brings in Lehmann or Hildebrand during the winter break. I should have been clearer.

Stefan Reuter isn't f#cking around. He sees the promotion potential. ;)

Woo Hoo! 1860 clobbered Aue, 5-0.
What a great way to close out the first half of the season! Should be a fun 2nd half... :D
1860 ends at the break in 5th, 2 point off the last promotion spot. With the +5 today we're now 3rd in goal differential too.

Good news for 1860 (http://bundesliga.de/en/liga2/news/2007/index.php?f=83176.php&fla=1)
21-year-old Chhunly Pagenburg has signed a contract until 2010 with the "Lions", subject to a medical.
20-year-old Fabian Johnson has also put pen to paper on a contract until 2010. The defender is already at the club since 1996.

Although it's good to see additions, I don't see how this kid plays ahead of DiSalvo and Goektan. So much for that "first-team experience" he's looking for. Is he much better than I anticipate?

Göktan will play in central midfield, which is where I believe her has played most of this season anyhow. Chuly Pagenburg should play up front with Schroth, diSalvo, Wolff or Mustafa K, depending on who is healthy.
Chuly Pagenburg is a very good prospect. He was one of the surprises of FCN's "dream season" last season. Pagenburg should do well in the 2. Liga.
FCN think so much of him that they included a clause in the contract that gives them the right to buy Pagenburg back if they are relegated to the 2. Liga during the duration of Pagenburg's 1860 contract.
Had FCN not signed former Löwe Nicky Adler, I think Pagenburg would have played more this season at FCN.
I also believe had FCN not decided to gamble on getting more experienced players to try to go further in the UEFA Cup, they would have kept Pagenburg.
FCN is not getting rid of him because he is not good enough. They are getting rid of him because they know what he can become and they do not want to hinder his growth as a player.

"Bild" reports today that Schroth has had some more problems with the knee. However, I would take that with a grain of salt.
"Bild" will report anything to sell papers this time of year.

Is it just me or is this year's Winterpause much longer than usual? I thought they started back in mid January.
Maybe I'm just jonesing for some Deutsches Füßall...
We do have the big derby vs. Bayern on the 26th and then the Cup match in Aachen on the 29th.
