1860 up 1-0 in Jena in the 75th minute. Bierofka scored right after halftime on a weak shot the Jena keeper let go right through his hands.
Since then, Jena has had the more dangerous chances, but haven't converted any.
The best being when Hofmann STONED Torghelle one-on-one about ten minutes ago.

Goektan just sealed the match for 1860 in the second minute of stoppage time. He went in on the keeper, lobbed the ball over him, but it hit the post. He followed up the play and put the ball in the net.
The referee ended the match after about another minute of play following Goektan's goal.

Welcome Floormaster Squeeze (interesting name by the way).
Thanks. I should do a brief introduction. I got an 1860 hat a few years ago when I was in Munich just because I liked the Löwen logo. I have followed them casually for a while. Last year I followed them more closely on the web. My nephew had a chance to travel to Munich this summer for a youth tournament and they used the 1860 practice facilities. Well, I now have a Tschauner (my nephew is a goalie) jersey that I can wear around so I guess that makes me a bigger fan:).
Even though I from the US I am not necessarily huge Berhalter or Wolff fans (although I like them both). I still am a big Tyler Twellman fan though and appreciate the 1860 connection there.
I noticed that FootyFan1 is from Garmisch. I had a chance to visit there two years ago during the World Cup and really liked the town. I was hiking out to the Partenklamm with my 1860 hat on and one elderly guy wanted to ask me a bunch of questions about 1860. Unfortunately, my German is not so good so I just smiled a lot! Luckily I was able to tell him what times the WM games were on that night as that was his main question.

Cool story man.....

Well, the Taylor Twellman connection isn't really one to bring up after the way 1860 screwed Taylor, but those idiots are no longer in charge.
I was reporting on football during that period and when I heard the then coach's stance on why Twellman wasn't getting a chance, I wanted to choke him on the spot. And I am happy to say that sorry SOB has not had any success since!!!

The World Cup was last year bro! :D
I live and work here in Garmisch, but I'm not "from" here! LOL!!
I'm originally from Philadelphia, PA, but I've spent most of my adult life living in either Texas, at Fort Hood from March 1985-September 1988 and San Antonio from April 2003-April 2006, or in Germany, in the Erlangen/Bamberg/Heidelberg/Vilseck areas from October 1988 - April 2003 and here in Garmisch since April 2006, or the past 18 months.

I can barely read German, but here is my best.
Szukula replaced the injured Ghvinianidze in the 85' minute at Jena, and now he is injured ahead of the great Greuther Fuerth match.
That was Szukula's only first team appearance of the season. Also there were some administrative personnel changes.

Szukala is out at least six weeks with a torn patellar tendon in his right knee. Naturally, he'll miss the big Bayern Derby against Greuther Fuerth on 21 October.

Matches from weeks 11 through 17 were set today. Of course, this is up until the winter break.
Here are 1860's upcoming matches:
Sunday, 21 October -------------Greuther Fuerth
Friday, 26 October --------------Kickers Offenbach
Sunday, 4 November ------------at SV Wehen-Wiesbaden
Monday, 12 November -----------Borussia Moenchengladbach
Sunday, 25 November -----------at SC Freiburg
Sunday, 2 December-------------SC Paderborn
Sunday, 9 December-------------at VfL Osnabrueck
Sunday, 16 December------------Erzgebirge Aue
I think those matches at home against Gladbach and at Freiburg back to back will tell us a lot about this 1860 team......

That's too bad. Looks like he injury bug is biting again around the same time as usual. I'd assume Eberlein would slot in to a starting spot, but we'll also likely see how Benny Schwartz does with the big club.
Fürth has had our number over the last few years, but as far as I'm concerned, (FC) Bayern is the only big derby for 1860!

Gladbach has been pouring in goals lately, and the Dreisamstadion is never an easy place to play. With our current injuries, I'd be happy with 2-3 points between the two matches, more would be spectacular. At least there's a week break between those two top matches.

Huh? If worse comes to worse, which it will not, all they really need to do is move Torben back inside.

And Bayern could care less. From what I've seen, 1860's "big derby" is the one with Augsburg.......

It won't be the "current injuries" when they play again next weekend. And yes, Gladbach has been looking good, but let's take it one match at a time.
The break might not have been good for Gladbach.

Well, there are 3 types of derbies: ;)
The "Oberbayern- & Stadtderby" against Bayern, the "Oberbayern-Schwaben-Derby" against Augsburg and the "Oberbayern-Mittelfranken-Derby" against Nürnberg and Fürth.

Btw: How many fans are expected for the game against Fürth? The Löwenfans will surely go for revenge for last season's 0:3 humiliation:-)

He said their "big one." And of course, for them, that would be Bayern, but Bayern doesn't give a rat's ass about 1860 right now, so I believe their "big derby" at the moment is the one against Augsburg.
We'll see...
I'll tell you how "we'll see". We'll see if this derby sells out the Allianz Arena. As far as I remember, 1860 sold out the Allianz Arena ONCE last season.
Against Augsburg.......

52,000 tickets have already been sold for Sunday. Damn, I really hope I can make the trip to Munich (I have some "obligations" next weekend, so I'll only be able to decide on Friday)!

Been to one of those. That was a lot of fun. :D
Hopefully they'll be in the same league again sometime soon and I can go to Nürnberg sometime around Christmas.

That's still 17,000 away from capacity. And I haven't ordered my ticket yet. Guess I will when I get home......

17,000 away from capacity (c'mon, it's the 2nd league and not Bayern) ... but nevertheless a superb attendance (could become the new 2nd league record of this season)!
When I remember the poor attendance of the last year...

I didn't say it wasn't amazing. But Augsburg was sold out last season weeks before the match. That's still more impressive to me.
When Augsburg comes to the Allianz Arena again, I'll bet it will again be sold out well in advance.....

Well, Augsburg is another story ... since they'll easily bring 15,000 own fans to Allianz-Arena.
PS: Did Josh Wolff get fit for the Fürth match?
