Totally deserved loss in Mainz!
Well, it seems that you didn't want to be the only unbeaten team...;)

Yeah. Mainz outplayed '60. They wanted it more and it showed. '60 did fight, but it just wasn't their night. The question will be if they allow it to continue.
Come on. Some of us knew they would lose sometime.

Well, we had to lose on the road to a good team sometime. :(
I think a lot had to do with the successful defensive midfield being re-worked due to Schwarz's injury. We'll see what Kurz has up his sleeves for Koblenz.
Also, I wonder why Wolff didn't play, he was sidelined for a day with a minor muscle problem, but was expected to be available. I see he's back in the lineup for Sunday's match:

Same players out as before. Do we know when Schwarz will be back? He's got a broken rib.

Today's match is underway. I'm not there because I have a relative visiting, but I have it on Premiere and after twelve minutes, '60 look good.
No goals yet, but the way they look right now, goals will be coming.
Actual lineups:
1860 München: M. Hofmann - Thorandt, Ghvinianidze, Berhalter, T. Hoffmann - S. Bender, L. Bender - Johnson, Göktan, Bierofka - di Salvo
Trainer: Kurz
TuS Koblenz: Eilhoff - Grenier, Mavric, Bajic, Lomic - M. Hartmann, Sukalo, Dzaka - Pektürk, Bogavac, Vata
Trainer: Rapolder

27th minute: di Salvo scores for 1860!! 1-0
But just before that, in the 19th minute, there was a seriously silly scene. Goektan was trying to take a long pass and go in on the Koblenz keeper.
Koblenz defender Bajic took Goektan down and Goektan pleaded for a foul. I didn't think there was one on the play myself.
However, first, play went on for a moment, then the referee stopped play.
He went and talked to both assistants, determined there was a foul and sent off Koblenz defender Mavric.
Yes, the referee sent off the wrong guy! LOL!! These guys look nothing alike!
Now, they are saying that Bajic may have been just called for a foul and Mavric was sent off for protesting.
Since when do you get a straight red for protesting??!!
And if Bajic was called for a "foul" on that play it had to be straight red. He was definitely the last man!

36th minute: 10 man Koblenz ties the score. A header from Sukalo after a free kick. Hofmann looked BAD on it......

60th minute: di Salvo for Der Loewen again!! His league leading seventh of the season and '60 are back up 2-1 now!!

68th minute: di Salvo almost had his hat trick, but it was disallowed for offside. Goektan blasted a shot off the crossbar, which bounced straight out to the center for di Salvo, who headed it in without a problem. However, the replays showed the linesman was right and that di Salvo was just offside when Goektan shot.

85th minute: Djokaj for Koblenz. 2-2. 1860 have brought in Holebas for Bierofka.

The referee surprisingly gives no stoppage time and the match ends 2-2. With the draw, 1860 falls to fourth place behind Freiburg, Gladbach, and SV Wehen.

Sounds like the ref was horrible. Kicker gave him a rating of 6!
Still, being one man up should have been enough to win. Kurz has some work to do next week.

Any ideas why Josh Wolff, didn't play? Injury or manager's choice?

They will tend to give you a "6" when you send off the wrong guy.......

Koblenz never gave up. All credit to them.

He's injured. He wasn't even on the roster for the match.
