The old guard is basically gone, save Lehmann and 'Bert so its up to the new crop to do the biz. Who do you think will "blow up" this year and be on the tip of everyone's tounge by season's end? The easy money is on VanPersie, but I'm worried about all his injuries. I actually think Diaby is going to become a lock in the center of the park...this is the season when his "Vieira-like" stride starts to pay "Vieira-like" dividends!

Seconded, I expect great things from Diaby.

the one we will get the most out of is going to be RVP. i think walcott, gael, and diaby can have a great year. to me though cesc, rvp, and gael have taken off. ( landing gear still down though)

I'm going to go with gibbs.

first off the first 8 players on this list all have the capability to be top quality. however the most likely to break out imo got to be cesc or vp. with their skill level they are bound to start putting up big numbers.
ill give walcott a few more years until he really takes off. i think this year and maybe next year we will see what he is capable of doing, and in the few years after that he will be world class.

I think van Persie is going to see most of the votes. He seems like he is most on the verge of becoming a great player.
I also want Diaby to break out, because I think he has a lot of potential. Just not sure this will be his year though with the crowded middle of the pitch. Last season on the wing he seemed a bit lost. I think once Gilberto leaves, he will really fill that role well.

The way I see it diaby, rvp, even walcott, have "broken out". They are known quantities, we know what to expect.
Bendtner, barazite, merida, gibbs - these are the people who need to "break out" this year.

I was really impressed by what I saw of Denilson last season, and think significant improvement is likely from him with the first team. He got my vote. Gotta share the love toward all Gunners.

RvP - He's gonna be sick this year, I can just feel it. They'll all improve, but he's taking it to the next level this season.

Denilson. RvP is pretty much a first-team veteran with my eyes.

I see RvP and Cesc as already having broken out, as they've established their brilliance and only need consistency (as much from those around them as from themselves). Just to be contrarian I voted for "Kev, you idiot ..." -- Adebayor. :D

Yeah Van Persie is already there in terms of breaking out. Diaby is going to have a big year. He will cement his place in the starting XI by december.

RvP is an obvious choice, but I see Theo taking advantage of more playing time and being a big star. He seemed to be close to it by the time of the CC Final, but went out injured for the rest of the season.

RVP has already "broken out" my guess/hope is that it will be Denilson

Theres afew there that will break out. i picked RVP because although he may be a 'veteran' there is stilla question mark over him, i think this will be his break out goal scoring season, i can see 20 goals easy!
I think we'll see half a dozen of our team getting the fully recognition they deserve, Denilson, Diaby and Hleb are going to have a break out season aswel imo.
Fab is pretty much our best player and has been for a while imo, another Young Vet. in fact we have shit load of young vets, I dont class Djourou, Senderos, Eboue etc as prospects I think of them as quality players with a proven quality.
I dont think we can use the 'transition period' excuse this year im afraid, we have plenty of top level experince in our side.

I know Van Persie is already good, but I voted for him because he has
the drive and skills to really help in the scoring dept.
I'm shocked that Clichy is on here...I thought he was outstanding already, lol.
Everytime I see him play the last 2 yrs, I think Cole who?

I voted for Diaby, but I feel that it'll depend on how much time Wenger gives him in the middle of the park. with Gilberto, Cesc, Denilson also in there, I'd just like Diaby to get a fair bit of time. Perhaps in those games where we need someone to push forward from the center, as I prefer Diaby's lanky dribbling to Gilberto's gilberto-ing.

Right now I'm just shocked that only 6% thinks I'm an idiot.
Also, I could see Cesc moving to another level...maybe breaking the 10 goal mark or something.
