If people like someone's post, then they give that person reputation points. Number of posts doesn't matter, and there are no monthly awards (as far as I know). Anyone can give anybody else reputation points.

The balance scale icon in the botttom left corner of someone's post allows you to give someone reputation. Click on it, add a comment (if you want to) and click "Add to Reputation." You can give either positive reputation or negative reputation, but negative reputation is basically useless.

You can check your own reputation points at the bottom of your "My Bigsoccer" page. For other people the green bars at the top right of their profile show how many reputation points they have. The more bars, the more points.

you may only have one bar, but the more rep points you get, the more bars you get.

And if you get too many negative rep points, I think five, then your account is suspended.

you need 100 positive reputation points to gain an extra bar

Its when the person that gave you the rep does not have enough reputation points itself - so its rep cant change your points.

The person giving me the rep has his reputation in the red, so I guess that's the reason.
