Even though we are well into the game and everyone else is obviously there, I thought I would get this thread started just in case anyone else wants to comment on the goings on.

By the way spectacular goal from KZ.

The online feed died a few minutes ago so I'm pretty much cut off from whats happening. If anyone does knows the current events keep us updated.

EDIT: Will a mod rename this " [R] WIZARDS v GOATS 7/29 In-Game / Post-Game Thread "

Home with kids who could be born at any time. ;) Is there any reason that the person taking the PKs for us is not the one guy who has proven he can finish? Carlos might as well have just pointed directly where he was going. Sweet goal by Kerry though.

Dubious PK call. Did he really have a chance to get to that ball? Poor penalty from Marinelli. A few good sequences, but I still have that sick feeling that the poor finishing (Conrad, Raybould) will come back to hurt in the end.

Second half has started Wizards made no lineup changes.

Chivas swapped their French striker for an English model.

And a quick goal from Cunliffe ties it up again...cr*p.

Defending is still lax.

Cunliffe almost got his second goal in a minute.

Yura in the 89th
3-2

Looks like we might get to take this one
Now lets see if we let our defense down like we did after our last.

Woohoo 3 points at home, it's about time and without EJ scoring a goal. It was nice to see Davy finally get on the scoreboard and for Yura to get another one. Hooray late game winners.

first off, despite lackluster games from EJ and Marinelli, the Wizards found a way to come together and get 3 points... a fun game to watch... the opportunities were there and we capitalized on them... yay for Yura coming through when we needed him again... yay for Arnaud getting a great kick...

secondly, the reffing was MUCH better than last week... this game was under control... it was more entertaining not having to worry about the calls... we could have tied and i still would have thought the same thing...

boo for KC residents thinking that red and white are colors they should only support... it felt good to walk from the stadium with 3 points when the huge support of Chivas came out... just good to see...

Kerry's goal is goal of the week IMO, at least from what I saw at the game.

Chivas is a good team, great passing all around by them. Glad to come away with 3, Chivas probably deserved one, but we've been on the other end of that deal far to many times for me to feel sorry for them.

I think the PK was a good call... but there was a whole crapload of hand balls which went unpunished for both teams... at least that's what it seemed like to me again.

Carlos had a pretty poor game, at least as far as passing and shooting goes (still was able to dance around plenty of people but didn't do so much for us this game). I don't want to be too hard on him though, we have to do a better job as a team to find a way to exploit the fact that whenever he gets the ball the opposition puts like 3 players on him. He does have a temper though.

Harrington didn't look like he was having a great game either, although not bad. Raybould did a pretty decent job in for Jose... Eddie looked hesitant and not nearly as 'pacey' as previously and I wonder if his ankle is still bothering him.

Pretty good job for Yura and Pore off the bench (was actually very impressed with some of Pore's work). I was expecting Yura for Marinelli at 70. Arnaud had another pretty solid day.

Not a 'great' performance, but we got 3 points and that's what matters. Got to see some awesome goals as well.. good solid game in the end.

Marinelli played an absolutely horrible game. But I was happy with EJ. He obviously didn't score, but he did good things with the ball when he had his chances.

Nice to see Yura back after his injury last week. Hope that means we won't be seeing Sealy any time soon.

The back line has got to get sorted out, and that includes Conrad.

All said, great game to make my first to see in person this year.

Zags & Yura for Goal of the Week for sure.
Zags was an absolute Goalazo!!! You can't hit them any better. DeRosario's got nothin on that one and his won last week. Left footed from way out - ball on a string, right in the pocket of weld, just out of Guzan's huge mits who had it all the way. FanFuginTastik!!!

Fantastic win and Yura saves us by making something happen by scrapping for balls. EJ take note - you couldn't even outrun Shavar Beer Gut Thomas (although he does look pretty fit for him)

I'm gonna call Conrad on the fubar for their 2nd. Marsh kept point Kleijewhatever back, back, back and as soon as the ball was played Jimmy gave him up for KZ. Jack had Mendoza on the further right and once the ball pentrated centrally Jimmy ran in to smother without checking for Jack on his man. JC didn't smother what was essentially either Garcia or KZ's guy and he slipped it in to him. He was not offside.

I like the Chivas team under Preki and how they play. He's got some young talent and they just need another compliment for Razov or a winger over 5 foot tall. Some pretty slight dudes on that Chivas roster.

Standing O for Marinelli when he came out even though this wasn't one of his better games. He missed plenty of release balls and not to mention the PK. Speaking of PK's the little sputter/hop step thing only works for Carlos Ruiz in this league. LD has pulled it off a time or two but ever one else I see do it fails. Why give keepers more time to see how your hips will square up. I'm ready for Arnaud, Jewsbury, or Burciaga to take these and just get up and smack em low with reasonable aim.

Way to go guys, they never gave up tonight.

WOW! Did I choose the right match to join the Cauldron for. Maybe a little more exciting than anyone would hope for but, wow, Yuri's goal was a fantastic individual effort. And I loved making fun of the Chivas fans and the Argie's taking it to them. Like others have said, Kerry did well, Carlos was giving up the ball to often, and Eddie, despite not having a goal, opened up the field with his runs and all the attention he gets. Though he notable got frustrated a couple (or few, or a lot) times when the ball didn't come his way.

Now it's time for prime time. BEAT THE REVS!

Due to the fuzzy feed I could be wrong, but I counted two or three times where Nick kept guys onside giving them free runs at goal. I believe it was him who kept the guy onside for the second goal but I will have to check the replays to be sure. He then had a similar play a few minutes later that we were lucky to snuff out.
I am just glad to 1. not witness another hackfest and 2. see our team score 3 goals without EJ.
