Now do your thing and show everybody who really is the best striker in the Unites states.
I've said this many times but a healthy Josh Wolff is the best Stirker that we have and should be a starter every major game. Fast, good first touch with both feet, can score with feet, adept in the air, brilliant passing the ball off, and doesn't really miss very often (as in he will more likely get a shot on Goal then over the bar)

Hopefully he will stay healthy for awhile.

It was definitely great news, although I'm a little worried as to what could happen if he doesn't show well. He's still hasn't had enough time to fully recuperate from his injuries, but he's playing so I suppose he's in pretty good shape.
You sure he's good in the air? I'm not saying he's bad, but I can't really recall ever seeing him score on a header, or off a corner and that sort of thing. I just haven't seen it. Then again I've only seen him play in the MLS about five or six total times. Have seen him play several US Nat games though.

El Lobo . . .
Glad he's back.

He scored with his head against Jamaica in the 5-0 win. Of course, that was one of those plays where he just kind of fell into the ball with his head and if he hit it with any part of his body it would go in.

Yeah, let's go Wolffy !!! But, beware, have one off game, and these guys will turn on you quicker than a New York friend. :)

Much like Sasquatch or the Loch Ness Monster, a healthy Joff Wolff is a creature for which there is little evidence of its existence. :)
Seriously, I like Josh and think he's a big asset to the side. I don't think Bruce thinks nearly as much of himas I do, though.

He isn't as good as McBride or anything like that but thats why I said he was "adept". Completly acceptable. I also forget to mention that he thinks like a striker. He isn't liek Donovan and Mathis who are half midfielders. This guy is pure striker and he gets hmiself inte great position (see Mexico Qualifier and WC match) even if we don't have a lot of possesion.

Its not as bad as everyone thinks. He had a hairline fracture after the 3rd or 4th qualifier which took him out for like 8 weeks. Then he was healthy throughout the Run up and World Cup, until the Naperville turf monster reached out and tore his ACL. He's getting back in form now from that. Hopefully he can avoid any more major injuries

Yeah, and how ironic that it was Donovan who won the header in the WC match, played it perfectly to a wide open Josh Wolff, who missed the sitter.

wasn't that saved by the Keeper? Don't forget that it was the work of Josh Wolff that resulted in the first goal of that match

Yeah it was. Wolff took a nice left-footed shot that was well saved.
Stay healthy, Josh.

Yeah, he shot it straight at the keeper. Easy save for him. Josh was upset with himself. Hey, I'm a fan of Josh. Hope he does stay healthy, and I'm glad he's on the roster. I really think he is a threat out there and a better finisher than Donovan. But just having him on the field does not equate to an automatic goal.

I seem to recall an absolutely beautiful goal he scored in the Gold Cup Final in January of 2002. With a defender hanging all over him, he held possession, waited for the right angle and fired off either the winning goal, or the second goal. I love his game but wonder if the injuries have really ruined his chances with the team. Hopefully this will change things.

I hope he makes a good come back. I've always been a fan of Wolff's. I think that his running not only makes him a threat for himself, but opens up lanes for others to attack. With the speed of Donovan, Beasley, Convey, and now Josh defenses will be in fits tracking all the runs.

Did Wolff retain his explosive first steps? Thats what Mathis lost with his torn ACL. I haven't seen a single Wizards game yet.

Against the Quakes, last Saturday, he looked nonexistent. In fact the Quake's backline had no problem keeping up with him... to say the Quake's backs are not exactly fast is giving them too much credit (we've got Goose).

Yes well, the Quakes idea of Soccer is 10 people play defense and then throw Landon Donovan up top to recieve the random long ball, or force a turnover and counter-attack like crazy

enough about the quakes i thought we were talking about Josh Wolf. I am a big fan of WOlf and i think that he's majorly overlooked. Not just national but in MLS he deserves more credit.
