interesting comments by Brown in that first article. Maybe its time for carlos to sit and Kante to take his place.

And maybe Brown isn't the expert on defense.

And what's he doing trashing his teammate in the press?

I don't exactly think that was a huge public rip. Its nice that he answered the question seemingly very honestly. Not sure if he really needed to comment about something that was said on the feild but he could've just been trying to explain that he was trying to 'communicate' what position he thought he should've been in, as goalkeepers often do, rather than something like 'Hey Carlos, you suck.'

You know, DH was just sharing his honest thoughts. And he didn't exactly say anything earth-shattering (it was actually pretty close to what JMM had said a few days earlier, albeit somewhat more diplomatically).

These judgements are loaded with personal preferences. First, the assumption that since Brown criticizes Llamosa (publicly), that Llamosa is wrong. Then, when a very popular player like Brown speaks his mind, he's just being honest. But when the more private (and less popular) Hernandez speaks his mind, he's being a malcontent.

I don't think DH did the right thing, but I do think Brown is WAY out of line talking about a respected veteran like that.

Everyone who was at the game or watching it on tv saw Brown shouting at Llamosa. What it was about would be an obvious question for a reporter to ask. I'd be more concerned about why Adin and Carlos are having communication problems that (according to Brown) are nearly leading to goals than whether Brown's talking about it. These guys have probably played together for at least 1/2 a season by now.

Furthermore, because Adin is a goal keeper no matter who the player to some extent he has the responsability to marhall players around the feild and get in their face if they're doing something wrong. It would've been better if Adin had said, whats said on the feild stays on the feild, but like the previous poster said everyone saw him yelling at him. All Adin to my mind is saying is this is just what we were talking about, it was a basic on the feild issue, not anything more than that. I don't think he was calling out Llamosa, and he certainly wasn't 1. demanding more playing time for himself in the media 2. calling out his coach 3. questioning the general game plan and style of play publically.

He¡¯s a veteran, but he¡¯s got to understand that I¡¯m the goalkeeper, that I see the field better...When I¡¯m telling him he needs to be in a position and he does the opposite, these are times when I¡¯m going to get on players. If I¡¯m telling them to do something, I have the authority to get on players and tell them where to be...We¡¯re going to make mistakes like that. We¡¯re going to get on each other. At the end of the day it¡¯s a learning experience. We¡¯re still all friends off the field.

Maybe Brown or Llamosa, or both took offense to some of the things that they said to each other. I just see the things he said up there as him explaining himself, and asserting his leadership. There's a big difference between being the starting keeper and bench riding midfielder. The way I look at it is that in many ways the keeper is the quarterback on the feild. You wouldn't blink an eye if a quarterback was getting on his lineman for missing a block. The only thing that would be a cause for concern was if it was a continuing thing, and by that way wasn't showing leadership. To my knowledge that isn't the case, maybe others can clarify that.
