I think so. If for no other reason, FIFA knows there is alot of American $$$$ to get there hands on by bringing it here again.

Not before 2026.

Absolutely. Any World Cup held here will shatter the previous attendance record, currently held by USA 1994. Plus, afternoon games here are prime time in Europe, perfect for TV.

I would bet we'll get it well before 2026.

Well looks at it this way:
Asia(Korea/Japan):2002
Europe(Germany):2006
Africa(TBD):2010
South America(Brazil I believe has already been chosen):2014

Now does FIFA go with the Oceania region in 2018 or to North America? That is the true question.

The US will get another World Cup in my lifetime if I live another 20 or more years, but I also see it beyond 2026.

I think Australia will get it before the US since it is the world's only untapped market left. Oceania never hosts a WC Finals.... the rotation system will give them the WC Finals. It will host either the 2018 or 2022 WC Finals. And do not give me the "US is better host than Australia" agruement. It has nothing to do with it.

I also believed in a UEFA conpirsacy that UEFA will get the Finals before a full cycle of rotation is completed. They have until 2012 to change the rotation system. UEFA will get 2018 or 2022(the one that Australia cannot get).

The United States will host the 2026 WC Finals, but then Canada may want to host it.
