I think it will be Van Persie. Last year, his goal scoring ratio per game was the highest in the Premier League.

Berbatov or Bianchi

Tough question that depends on several factors. If all the contenders do not get hurt i believe it will be Drogba again. He will score another glut of goals, he has a keen eye for goals of all sorts. If Ronaldo improves from 06-07 to 07-08 the same way he did from 05-06 to 06-07 he could win the golden boot from midfield. Fernando Torres is also a goal scoring machine even though its his first year in the EPL he could have a shot. And dont call me crazy but as a sentimental vote; I saw an interview M. Owen the other day and he said he feels like he is amazingly fit (i know its been said before) but if he could return to form we all know he is capable of scoring many goals in the Prem. Verdict: Drogba

I must agree...Drogba has been very impressive. Did well with his winning goal in the FA Cup Final and looks very healthy and ready to cause havoc in the Prem. League.

I gotta go with RvP as well, provided he's healthy. With Henry gone, he'll be expected to take the brunt of the goalscoring load and, given that he's more similar a player to Henry than is Adebayor, I think he'll do well if he can continue to put himself in goal-scoring positions. He'll also have the added bonus of taking free-kicks with that dangerous left boot of his. Others to consider: Martins, Kuyt, Drogba, Ronaldo.

Drogba is going to be at a disadvantage this year as he will be away for a period at the African Nations Cup.

Will Martins start over Owen and Viducka? The African Cup of Nations will also affect McCarthy.

Martins wouldn't start in place of Viduka, they're two totally different players. I'm sure that Oba and Owen will both get their fair share of starts, and sometimes may run in a 4-3-3 running off of Vid. And yes, I forgot about the ACN when I mentioned Drogba and Martins but they should both still score a good amount of goals this year.

I can only predict either Drogba or Berbatov. I'm quite sure though it's not going to be Torres. Malouda will do well too. Apparently, he's gonna be better than Sheva.

Torres looks like he'll need time to adapt before he gets into a consistent goal scoring form. And Chelsea have Malouda in more of the providing role not a goal scoring one.

Darren Bent has already scored 4 goals in the pre-season. Don't count him out as perhaps Berbatov will be the one dropping off a bit and setting the table for Bent who is more likely to play off the last defender.

But we're talking about leading scorer. The leading scorer will be someone who plays every game as opposed to a rotation player like Kuyt.

Will he stay healthy long enough to be top scorer? I don't really think he will, but that's just me.
