Are there any more??

all right:

- Nilmar (22, Corinthians): It has been reported that Werder is interested in him and Allofs has already negotiated with MSI. Corinthians has to sell him because they deperately need money. Problems: he's injured until mid September and he's partly owned by MSI. He sued his club that they would let him go because the club hasn't payed his salary for a couple of months now. If he wins the lawsuit it's more likely that he will join Werder

- Dusko Tosic (22, Sochaux): Serbian national left fullback. Werder has been scouting him for a couple of years now. He's definately somebody who could challenge Womé for the starting spot. His agent Christoph Graf (swiss) said: "Bremen would be an awesome choice for him". the WeserKurier wrote that Werder is currently in talks with the player.

- John McKain (24, FCU Politehnica Timisoara): According to this source :

Werder has been scouting him for the last 1 1/2 years and is now interested in signing him. He's a central defender.

- Dusko Tosic (22, Sochaux):

He is an option, when Schulz leaves the club.
But after the Womé injury (he propably needs an operation)
Schulz is the only left back in the squad.

Leandro Romagnoli ;)

LOL :D

You guys NEED to sign some quality striker. The potential duo of Rosenberg/Sanogo isnt impressive at all...

But we WON'T sign another socalled "quality-striker" because Werder doesn't want to participate on this crazy market where mediocre players like Ryan Babel cost 18 mio €.
KATS trust in Sanogo and Rosenberg. They are both young and talented strikers with much potential.

On paper they aren´t impressive, but important is
what happens on the pitch.

Werder continues scouting players (as they always do) and only get active
again, if they find a player where everything fits (potential, ratio potential/price, motivation, ...) or to substitute players, who plan to leave the club.

Rosenberg looked quite good last year. I think he will be class for Werder and they won't need another stuermer.

City face fight for Zigic

Racing Santander have confirmed Werder Bremen are rivalling Manchester City for Nikola Zigic.

The Serbian striker has emerged as a target for new City boss Sven Goran Eriksson, with the Premier League club leading the chase.

I think, Werder is only mentioned to increase the transfer fee.
Why? - Rumours say ManCity offered much more than 10 million €
transfer fee for him and Werder won´t pay so much.

With their new owner, City are prepared to spend quite a bit, more than is neccessary really. I don't see Werder matching anything above 10 mil.

Yes, that´s exactly what i meant. :)

Werder played the last years in CL and so we are connected to many
players by the media and sometimes also by other clubs.

Zigic would be massive though, shame it won't happen. :)

Exactly EE. People either forget or just don't know that when Halil Altintop had his breakout season at Kaiserslautern, he scored most of his goals with Sanogo playing next to him providing passes and drawing in the defense.

Sanogo needs another effective striker to play with him to be effective himself. He is not the kind of guy to carry a team by himself.

Personally, I think HSV were f#cking stupid to sell Sanogo now that they have Zidan. I think they would have seen the Sanogo who had ten goals and seven assists in the Bundesliga with a Kaiserslautern team that got relegated.

I totally believe Sanogo and Rosenborg are going to be a lot more effective than people think.

And for me, Sanogo being in Bremen is totally ironic. I say that because I didn't want Nelson Valdez in Dortmund, I wanted Sanogo.........

I know that feeling. I laugh every time I see a rumor in the English press linking an expensive player with BVB.

Some of them really don't know that we're basically broke now! LOL!! :D
