Weird is not even being from Germany and being stuck on "Alles für Deutschland" like squid.

Because, even on the face of it, it's bad to support the german national side right? Those bad germans.

Dude, unless you're writing my biography, don't get into topics you know absolutely nothing about.

I know what thread you're talking about, so why don't you go and write something in that thread as long as you have some good points to raise and not mere sniggering out of ignorance.

What can actually be classed as wierd is saying that torres is better than klose. Because everyone can watch them both play see what they bring to their teams. Unlike you commenting on how wierd it is that I support germany while not knowing me or a thing about the history of the NT.

Torres will get more money for the selling club because he's younger but Klose right now is better. Torres is a LOT of hype even though he does have potential to be really good one day. Like podolski really.

If Bayern would move for Mertesacker, they would pay no more than they paid for Klose, which pretty much represents the market worth for me.Look at Berbatov, he went to Spurs from Leverkusen 16 mil, and is now estimated at 30.

Inside the bundesliga yes maybe, even though Klose was sold at a somewhat cut price. But if a club from outside offers, they better offer much more.

See, berbatov went for 16 million, so at least offer 16 million for mertesacker too. If Klose went to a non-bundesliga club that he was not desperate to go to, they'd only have let him go for about 20 million as well.

Mertesacker as a player is clearly worth more than 10 mil. However the Bundesliga as a platform doesn't offer much worth increasing "hype", besides exceptions like Hargreaves who suddenly became the bee's knees in England after the World Cup.

So, that doesn't mean alloffs will accept 10 million does it?

When Klose moves for 15 million tops, why should a defender move for more?
Starting national team players move for that much money.

If Bayern would move for Mertesacker, they would pay no more than they paid for Klose, which pretty much represents the market worth for me.

Klose was transfered for much less money than his market value.
The reason was, that he only had 1 year contract remaining and that
things happened, that made the whole situation difficult.

If a club (let´s say Bayern) would now make a bid of 10 or even 15 million €
for Mertesacker, KA wouldn´t even answer them, but put the offer
directly into garbage.
Why? - Simple, because KA doesn´t get a player of Mertesackers quality
for that sum on the transfer market and he has no pressure (that´s the difference to the Klose case)
to sell him, because Merte has a long-time contract and prefers playing at a CL side
near his home town Hannover.
Furthermore look at the age of Mertesacker and the future chances for him.
I am not naive and think, that he play forever here,
but currently he´s happy and prefers a team like Werder to a team like
Aston Villa (no offense to the club) every day of the week, because everything fits.

Man, that´s exactly what we are saying.
He is worth far much more than 10 million € and if a club wants to get him
the must sack his bank account.
I agree with you, that the BL is underhyped, but that´s no reason for us
to let other clubs think we are a discounter.
We are not the bitch of the money clubs, if such club wants to get a world-class player from us,
who has still some years contract remaining (that´s the difference to the Klose case),
then the club must empty his pockets.

Exactly, KA would normally simply trash it (as already written before)
or on a good day show it coach Schaaf, who would reply "die haben einen
nassen Helm auf" (how weird), go into his cellar and start laughing. ;)

Alright guys, enough arguing. Let's change the topic. Any news on Fenin joining Bremen? I heard a few days ago that a deal was really close.

Who is fenin?

Anyway since this is a rumours thread, I have an idea. :D If metzelder doesn't get many games at madrid, then why don't bremen in january make an offer of a swap deal with naldo. I am sure madrid would agree as for them a brazilian is more marketable than a german and plus, he's brazilian! And for the german NT it would be great to have the two starters playing together each week.

i think we should hold onto Naldo for a little while longer....

No one in their right mind is going to swap Naldo for Metzelder.

A Czech talent.

KA met officials from Teplice last Wednesday in Vienna at the match
Austria vs. Czech Republic and got information about him,
how much money Teplice expects from a deal and things like that.

Sport1.de is reporting that Tim Wiese will leave Werder Bremen at the end of the season.Wiese and Werder couldn't agree about the financial aspects of a new contract so Wiese will leave at the end of this season as a free agent.

Wiese apparently turned down Werder's new contract offer that would have him earn €2,4 million a year.According to the reports, Wiese has offers from Spain and England[that he probably compares the Werder offer to].

Don't believe it until I see it. I don't think the contract talks are over yet. Anyone know how much he currently earns?

No surprise, that Sport1 and Bild are reporting about it.
Wieses player manager is Roger Wittmann,
who has very good connections to the media
and gave the statement, that Wiese will look for a new club via Sportbild.

Wiese said in an interview yesterday something else:
"There is only a small difference between the Werder offer and the sum
i want to earn. I have offers from England and Spain, but the door
to Werder isn´t closed. We´ll meet again in the next time, because i feel
well at Werder."

Ah, the "newspaper with the 4 big letters".t-online.de website
brings today again very good journalism. ;)

They quote coach Schaaf
" Here [in Bremen there] Tim Wiese is in good hands,
but if he wants to try something else, he must do it."
and make the headline
"Schaaf : Wiese can leave !"

@ FCB-FTW. :
The old annual salary is something around 1.8 - 2.0 million €.

„Wir bewegen uns in einem bestimmten finanziellen Rahmen“, sagt Allofs. „Den werden wir für Tim nicht verlassen.“

Sounds like take it or leave it to me.

I think his „Ich habe Angebote von Topklubs aus England, Spanien und Italien. Da muss ich mir keine Sorgen machen.“ is him taking it a little too far.

I'm not surprised he is popular in Italy, Sportitalia kept repeating his Juventus blunder over and over again. :D

You missed the best part:

In der Mannschaft gilt Wiese als Einzelgänger, das Verhältnis zu Trainer Thomas Schaaf ist nicht das Beste.

Wiese gilt durch seine großspurige Art mittlerweile als Unruheherd in jeder Mannschaft.

Even if you could link the headline to Schaaf's comment, Bild's speculation about the player are the ones really worth laughing at.

Martin Fenin has been linked with Werder among a number of other EPL clubs.
