So on saturday 4. August, we start our first serious game of the season. Hopefully we can go far in the cup this year.

For sure Diego, Naldo and Harnik are back from their international tournaments.
I worry about the stamina of some players, but we must survive it.
No more Pirmasens again.

I expect no easy match for Werder because of the bad prepration
and the injuries situation, but i have hope,
that we take the step 1st round. :)

There's even an opponent, I might add! ;)
Unfortunately the timing of the game isn't all that great, as there is a league game shortly before. I hope the players concentrate on the league as a good start is vital. I'd like to get some of our second string players into the game against Bremen. Unfortunately you can't do this, as it will be a sold out game and the audience won't like it if we rest too many starters.

Did anybody actually watch the game today? I followed the live ticker, and it seems we got pretty lucky to win that. It's good to see Sanogo scoring again, though. I really think he'll be better than many people think.

Yes, that´s nice formulated.
The team, ok mistake the 11 players and later 10*, played horrible,
we can be happy to have reached the next round.
That team play is so bad has obvious to do with the many injuries,
the next weeks will very be difficult for Werder.
*the Mertesacker yellow-red was a joke, he didn´t even touch
the Braunschweig player, but instead Carlos Alberto should have seen red
for his ellbow hit. :mad:

yes, very lucky. After the yellow-red i thought for the worst. But we can only get better
