Why does JMM start for this team? He's not bringing anything that Twellman and Harris aren't bringing more of. Heck, give Noonan a year. He'll be more valuable.

Just got home....Anyone who watched on television, was Wolde's first half cracker a goal or not? I was too far to tell on first sight and both replays I saw on the jumbotron were pretty inconclusive.

Either way, I'm glad Wolde got one tonight. I'm probably in the minority here, but I really think he has a place on this team. It seems to me that Wolde's biggest fault is getting frustrated and with the cold spell he's been on he just seemed to be getting more and more so with every minute, hopefully this breaks him out of it, nobody deserves it more than he does.

They showed Wolde's shot in slo-mo on Fox. It was clearly a goal - at least two feet over the line. Poor Wolde - that would have been up for goal of the year.

That wouldn't have been up for goal of the year, it would have been goal of the year for the next three seasons it was that breathtaking....

I'm too bothered to go get the exact number, but it was just a hair over 15K according to mlsnet.

Please let me contribute this as someone who sits almost even with the southside goalmouth in Gillete Stadium. That was the single greatest strike - and goal - I have EVER seen in Foxboro. And I've seen plenty of matches there.

A bycycle, and what a cracker! And it didn't count.
The Colorado own-goal was merely a payback.

To the white haired linesman: consider either eyeware or retirement, because a goal like that should not be erased from Revs history because you were either blind or not paying attention.

What a goal...(..oh, the humanity). Poor Wolde.

Agreed.. Great goal...

But in a slight defense of the linesman, he was level with where the shot came from, the top of the box.. There was simply no way he could see that it was clearly over the line from 18 yards out.. The play happened so damn fast that asking a linesman to clearly indicate that that was a good goal is a lot to ask..

Not a single one of us watching on FSW or locally knew what happened until the angle from behind the goal clearly showed it crossing the line.. Even then, the dopes in the studio in LA doing the match couldn't figure it out...

Wolde was on fire tonight. If he keeps this up I will have to stop calling for him to be traded. What a goal---even his second goal was a beauty. He was my MOM

Noonan can sure get into the right places. Hope he can start scoring.

Welcome Senior Vazquez. It looks like SN again has selected a winner.

I'm a bit concerned by our lack of finishing good chances. Both at DCU and tonight we should have had at least two more goals.

I'm also concerned about our defense. As we have opened up more offensively we are at risk of getting exposed at the back. Against teams that can finish better than DCU and the CRapids we would have been in deep trouble (aka KC)

Noel Kenny is still one of the worst refs in MLS

Fun match to watch.

Good match, excepts Rusty Pierce needs to take calm down and shut up. When he was arguing and recieved his yellow, it was clear that he kicked the ball out of bounds, and had no reason to argue. Then, on the Rapids go ahead goal he was clearly caught out of posisition and slow to get back and recover, allowing for an easy goal. Later on in the game he made a pointless run up field, leaving Llamosa to cover for him in the back, who saved a near goal. Although Rusty brings great intensity to the pitch, he is not National Team material, and needs to become a smarter player, in terms of both the games tactics, and his emotions.

Nike, he's from Texas. You're asking a lot of him I think.

All in the eye of the beholder I guess. On the first goal, I saw Cullen pulling a "matador defense" as his man blazed by him, then actually impeding Pierce's efforts to clean up his mess.

On the second goal, Heaps was out-to-lunch as his man (Spencer) put in a cross - something we've become pretty familiar with in the last three games.

Later on in the game he made a pointless run up field, leaving Llamosa to cover for him in the back, who saved a near goal.

This would be the same Llamosa who forced Adin Brown to make his toughest save of the night (preventing Llamosa's second own-goal of the year)?

I thought he was the best Rev's defender on the field tonight.

And Noel was a DOPE for giving hime that yellow.

Just my opinion.

Rusty does indeed bring a great deal of intensity, and I like him as a player, but at times he gets caught up in things not pertinent to the game and tends to lose his focus. He always displays great heart and gives it his all, sometimes I just think he needs to get his priorities straight..also I meant to say the first goal, not the second goal. My fault on that one.

Neol was a dope, but not for giving him the yellow. He was cursing loudly enough to be audible on the WB broadcast, and kicked the ball away in frustration. That's just not cool.

Those last ten minutes were heart-stopping. Lots of back and forth. Revs offense and midfield are pretty good-- though I wish some of TT's killer finishing instincts would rub off on Noonan. That boy is due for a goal or two.

Shalrie Joseph continues to dominate the ball in midfield-- I still like him a lot. The new guy, Vasquez, also seemed pretty danged terrific-- another winner for Steve Nicol.

I really, really, really wish I'd made it out to the game today. The weather was gorgeous, and there was a nice, large crowd. But I'm financially destitute this summer. :( I'll be at the tripleheader, but god knows when I can go back after that.

But also, he definitly did deserve that yellow, in my opinion.

this game also showed what Twellman really does for this team. Vasquez played great, hopefully he'll get the start on Thursday. A great win for the Revs.

Here I am watching all newscasts with my finger in the clicker, hoping that some channel would show the "first" goal... Channel 5,7 and 12 all showed the last two goals. Only channel 6 showed "both" Harris' goals. The announcer mentioned that "slow-mo" showed the ball went in but he did not show it.

Goldie Woldie had the goal of the year and it did not count... The linesman should be forced into retirement. No excuses, That is his job, that is why they were called linesmen in the old days.

Two words went through my mind a couple minutes later when Wolde did get one:

Poetic Justice.
