Heyo, i'm located in Rochester NY, I was hoping I would be able to find some gooners to watch any of the upcoming games with and soak a few liquids with. I may just have to make that trek up to NYC but was hoping some of you are closer then that. Let me know!

Syracuse here! I don't really have a local, which sucks. I used FSC and Setanta through ITVN last year. When I was in Buffalo for school, I used to go over the board to Canada every weekend to a pub called the Drummond Inn. If you're ever in the area you should check it out - no other Gooners but a great bunch of guys!

As you're from Rochester I'll assume you know Monty's Korner - I've never seen an Arsenal match there but the atmosphere was quite good for England v Uruguay last World Cup.

I'm not in Rochester very often lately but I'll look you up if I'm gonna be in town this fall - I'll surely get some drinks in while we watch the Arse!

buffalo here...

canada is really your best option for catching live games...there are few pubs showing fsc, but thats readily available on cable...

hamilton has got some sweet pubs...but thats a bit of a haul...

nice to hear that drummond inn shows the matches...i saw them show up on a couple of soccer tv sites...but i hadn't heard anything about it...

do you know if they usually carry setanta?

I think they had Setanta - it definitely wasn't all FSC when I was going there. It's an older crowd but they are great fun to hang out with. One fellow in particular named Gord supported Arsenal with me during our Champions League Final run - he was a Celtic supporter so I think it gave him something to do. There was one guy who had a trial with Arsenal back in the 50s - he was something of a supporter and watched with me but never said very much and never really cheered when we won. He was, as you might imagine, very old. The owner of the bar is an Everton supporter - it was fun on days when they won a big match.

I had a great time there and I'm hoping to make it back one weekend this fall - it's just down to whether I know anyone in Buffalo to stay with - I think all my friends from school are gone now. Hopefully I'll find some straggler so that I can head over for a match - it's certainly worth it!

I always heard Hamilton was great but I never made it out there - so much further than Niagara Falls. I did get up to Toronto once to meet up with some other supporters - I can't even remember the name of the pub anymore but it was for the Nil-Nil 2nd Leg v Real Madrid in 05. That was quite the affair - I think I left at noon and didn't get back till after midnight.

If you do make it up to the Drummond, tell them Dan the American Arsenal supporter sends his regards - I don't think they'll all remember me but if you ask for Gord I bet he will.

The Old Falls Sports Bar and Grille (http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/cp/1/en/hotel/IAGNF/dining) in Niagara Falls, NY has both FSC and Setanta. Was in there for the Wigan game this morning and they happily put us on the big screen.

Syracuse here, too. Never found a place that has setanta though, and I already have FSC, so I'm usually just at home watching on tv, or reading the pbp on the computer.

I used to see games at the Distillery on Mt. Hope. That was back when I was going to U of R. I saw US-Brazil in the Copa America '95 there.

Does anyone know if Tully's would be willing to get the man u fa cup game on pay per view? My guess is no b/c of the Georgetown v. 'Cuse game on at the same time...

Oh and bump.

Orange, where are you located? The Distillery as mentioned earlier in the thread gets both Gol TV and Setenta and in addition to the Mt. Hope bar there is a new one off South Clinton closer to Brighton/Pittsford thats in great shape. Let me know if your in the Rochester area, we'll meet up catch the game and a few pints.

I have yet to find one. Syracuse isn't much of a soccer town.

Wen't to school up there (Troy) but never made it to McGeary's. If you're in Albany, I think Jillians is the safest bet. Pretty big place and always good with sporting events. I remember going there for some MMA and Boxing matches during college.
