Pretty impressive...although slightly odd looking.

Liverpool Football Club today unveiled stunning new designs for their stadium in Stanley Park, coinciding with the submission of the official planning application to Liverpool City Council.

Scheduled to open in 2010, the 60,000 seat stadium has been designed to allow for future expansion which could see the capacity increased to the high seventies dependent on improvements to the local transport infrastructure.

The central importance of the Kop has also been recognised with a hugely increased capacity to 18,000 seats in a single tier stand.

The Ballpark is a good baseball stadium - not a lot of complaints about it.
Complaints about other stuff, not the stadium though.

lfc is setting a new level for stadiums to come. i freakin' love this new stadium design! i'll kinda miss the traditional stadium, but it's great to see a modern, fresh look to carry the organization forward. 60k seats & there won't be a bad seat in the house!

i hear the new stadium will be up & running in the next 3 years. time to take a trip across the pond ;)

Judging by Liverpool's recent results, it looks like the Tomhickssportsrotisitis is beginning to take hold over there...

I saw these photos a couple of months ago, and I just think the Kop end just looks too damn tall... :o
Call me crazy, but it just looks like it would work well on a 3-D picture, but IRL it would not be the best.
Imagine what's going to happen when some crazy goal scores and the scousers start jumping around on that steep of an angle...
