I heard on Talksport that Leicester will be on their 6th manager in 21 months - ouch!

And the Bolton fans aren't enthusiastic at all about Megson. At least Leicester is getting around £300,000 for him. The Mandaric regime has thus far given Leicester fans a QPR-like wild ride! ;)

The Daily Mail (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/sport/football.html?in_article_id=491078&in_page_id=1779) mentions our sponsorship situation today...

Queens Park Rangers are understood to be in the market for a new sponsor, with Indian beer maker Kingfisher in the frame.

The company, which is also an airline, is a major sponsor of the Toyota Formula One team and its billionaire owner Vijay Mallya is a friend of QPR chiefs Flavio Briatore and Bernie Ecclestone.

And our days with Le Coq Sportif could be numbered...

Briatore's influence could also see the club gain a new shirt supplier, with Italian firm Kappa being lined up.

While I don't love the quality of the Le Coq Sportif shirts, Kappa's designs are pretty ugly.

Bring back Adidas!

Kappa's shirts can be kind of busy sometimes, but there are some nice examples out there at the moment.

1860 Munich (http://www.kitbag.com/stores/kitbag_4_5/Rugby/product_details.aspx?pid=36931&cid=5732) (Kinda cool)

FC Wacker (http://www.kitbag.com/stores/kitbag_4_5/Rugby/product_details.aspx?pid=36926&vid=0&cid=5732&tid=&nav=) (Very nice)

And their tracksuits (http://www.kitbag.com/stores/kitbag_4_5/Rugby/product_details.aspx?pid=35404&vid=0&cid=5732&tid=&nav=) are excellent

Hadn't seen those. Not bad. Wonder if they make shirts for anyone else who wears hoops.

No hoops that I can find - but they do make Sampdoria's excellent shirts (http://www.uksoccershop.com/index.php?main_page=popup_image&pID=6565)

Weren't they making those really tight-fitting shirts with clingy material? Or have they gotten away from that?

Yes and I think they've gotten a little better about making them not so clingy. Especially for the fuller figured British gentleman :)

That was my worry -- that a deal with Kappa would mean the end of my official-shirt wearing days. :)

Former Rs boss Kenny Jacket has been hired as the new Millwall manager...

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/m/millwall/7081134.stm

Millwall have confirmed the appointment of Manchester City reserve-team boss Kenny Jackett as their new manager.

Jackett, 45, will take up his role following Tuesday's League One fixture against his former club Swansea.

Jackett told the club website: "I'm excited to be joining. This is a club with tremendous potential."

Veteran defender Richard Shaw and coach Colin West had been in temporary charge of the Lions following the sacking of Willie Donachie on 8 October.

Isn't it $180 each way before taxes, so that'll have to be well more than $387, no?

Isn't it $180 each way before taxes, so that'll have to be well more than $387, no?I pulled up some dates in January and it said USD 387.00 per adult, but then clicked through to purchase and they added the taxes to bring it up to USD 554.29.

Yep - I got excited and spoke too soon. I thought they had added the fees in on the search results page - of well!

Leicester are rumoured to want Ian Holloway as their new boss - interesting...

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/l/leicester_city/7102436.stm

Leicester chairman Milan Mandaric has made Plymouth boss Ian Holloway his top target to take the reins at the Walkers Stadium, BBC Sport understands.

The Foxes have been looking for a new manager since October when Gary Megson left after six weeks to take charge at Premier League Bolton Wanderers.

Another former player in the managerial rumour mill...

http://blog.washingtonpost.com/soccerinsider/2007/11/what_offseason.html

We are hearing today that the Red Bulls are also looking closely at Houston assistant John Spencer

Is there any club on earth that has had more former players go on to be managers?

Good memory - seems to have a relationship with Mandaric.

Ah remember the days when we were top of the league?

That's what you get when you put 'QPR' and 'urinal' into google. Not something I'd normally do but I saw some non-story in the Daily Mirror today about the Rs putting information cards about the colour of urine above the urinals at Harlington. Think this was to ensure the players are properly hydrated. Alarmingly, the colour chart included red and green - I'd say finding either of those colours spewing forth is not a hydration isssue.
The stroy in the Mirror isn't worth posting but it's nice to know 9 years ago one could go for a nice piss down the 'Bush.
