Wing.... my old youth coach played for a brief time at Plymouth Argyle way back in the late 50's early 60's i beleive... he is the coach that turned a bunch of baseball, hockey and football players into kids that loved the game of soccer and we ended up being better soccer players than those other 3 sports. i fell in love with the english game, so it was a natural for me to follow my old coach's team AND Arsenal, as that was his favorite team when growing up too.

looks like plymouth might sign two trialists they've been lookin at
anthony robic, he played for tours fc in ligue 2 last season, don't think he ever started, mostly coming off the bench according to soccernet
kari arnason, he has 15 caps for iceland, sturrock seems to really like him

Bradley Wright Phillips signed yesterday, no news about Robis so doubt he impressed at trial. The Icelandic did impress and then played the next evening in Argyle's first exhibition game. Nothing has happened since then with him.
Argyle have played 3 exhibition games so far with almost every player getting some playing time.
Monday First game won 4-1 against Truro, Tuesday 2nd game won 3-1 against Plymouth Parkway, mostly the youth team played this game and Wednesday drew with Torquay 3-3. So no impressive opponents so far. Next game against Skelmersdale saturday then on up to Scotland for a week and play Livingston on Monday 20th and Romanian champions Unirea Urziceni on Wednesday 22nd after that 4 more exhibition games before start of season.
Why did i come to Canada, i had no choice my mother emigrated here and i was only 15.

Wingman have you seen the new Argyle site, it is the official unofficial or is it the unofficial official website of the new board at Argyle at http://argyleinsider.ning.com/
Frankly i dont like it, to busy and i find it very hard to manouver around. PASOTI is the best as far as i'm concerned to do with Argyle also Greensonscreen is also very good

Ottawa- ya ive been on all the websites you have mentioned. I prefer PASOTI too, over argyleinsider. PASOTI is more of the traditional messageboard style.

Rumours of another trialist playing wednesday, it maybe Zoltán Szélesi from Hungary.
Argyle play there 5th pre-season game tonight against Livingston. Argyle are on a weeklong training camp in Scotland. They beat Skelmersdale 2-0 last saturday.

I'm new here, was very pleasantly suprised to find a 56 page thread on Argyle. My mother and her side of the family who are from Plymouth got me into supporting them, Dad doesn't care about football. I never thought about supporting anyone else. If I'd supported my local side I'd be a Chelsea fan so I'm very glad I didn't. Not too confident about the coming season, still feel we need some more transfers, get rid of several players and probably bring in some loans.
