1-1 draw against Birmingham. Not a bad result against the second place club. Seems Luggy has found a lineup that is working pretty well.

Yes a 1-1 draw against Birmingham was a good result, even though Argyle's goal was a penalty given after a foul by the goalie who was sent off for the incident. Looking at the video it does look like the foul was outside the penalty area.
On the other hand Argyle did have 2 goals disallowed for offside, one of which looks like it was OK especially after the ball bounced back off the goalie.
JJ you will have to wait until after the season for the changes to be announced.
It was announced today that Ginsters will continue to be the sponsor for another 2 years.

OG... thanks for the info...
Big game this weekend... i would really like to see a win, along with a Forrest loss... every point is important!!! (i almost said every PINT is important) and i suppose that is true too...

3-0 loss to Doncaster is not the way to finish up at Home Park for the year. Amazing that it was the same line-up that recently won a 4-0 game. Big changes are needed in the squad for next season.

Harvey... thanks for posting on the board... yes.... 3-0 loss at home is a horrible way to finish off... we are really fighting for our life, but it seems the players didnt have any fight in them according to the score.
now instead of me looking to see how Argyle did each weekend, now im looking to see how the teams below us did... AND a -3 on the goal differential didnt help matters any at all..
yes i hope there are big changes comingi to Home Park!!! we need them!

Argyle are NOT finished up at Home Park yet, there are 2 games left in the season, next game away to QPR, and the last game of the season is at HOME to Barnsley.
I have a table up on PASOTI called Elimination Table, this is basically to see which teams are involved in the promotion and relegation battles as we are only interested in ARGYLE here is the relegation battle table
16 Watford 44 -7 52 58 11 22
17 Blackpool 44 -12 52 58 11 22
18 Derby 43 -9 51 60 10 22
19 Plymouth 44 -12 50 56 13 23
20 Nottm Forest 44 -17 49 55 14 24
21 Barnsley 43 -14 47 56 13 23
22 Norwich 44 -9 46 52 16 24
23 Southampton 44 -21 44 50 18 24
24 Charlton 43 -23 35 44 23 24 RELEGATED
This shows there are 9 teams in the relegation battle of which Charlton are already relegated. As far as Argyle is concerned, if we win on saturday we are safe, if we lose and Norwich and Southampton lose we are safe, there are lots of other permetations that could happen.

well 0-0 tie to QPR.... not a fantastic result... but 1 game closer to safety... Southampton is relegated.... only 1 other team can go down... we might have made it

Massive game tonight as far as Argyle is concerned. Norwich v Reading if Norwich lose or draw Argyle are safe.
It is also a massive game for Norwich and Reading, if Norwich lose, they can still avoid relegation, but they have to rely on Argyle to beat Barnsley, Reading still has a chance for automatic promotion, but they have to win tonight and on sundayand rely on Birmingham and Shef. Utd lose their last game bur Reading are guaranteed at least a spot in the playoffs.
The Norwich - Reading game is live on Myp2p tonight and also remember the season ends on sunday, all championship games are on sunday.

WE ARE SAFE
Reading beat Norwich tonight 2-0, so we cannot be relegated, the 3rd relegation spot will be between Norwich, and Barnsley.
If Norwich win and Argyle beat Barnsley, then Barnsley go down, if Barnsley draw or win against Argyle then Norwich go down regardless.

i just saw that on SkySports.... very nice to survive... but not much of a season for us...
time for changes... lets hope they are sweeping.. and we get some new investment... and some better players... and a replacement for Luggy.. hopefully he will just step down, and we can get a hungry manager who can get the player to get the job done.
I know Luggy had a bunch of players leave on him... but he also picked up some snoozers too... too much of that went on this season

and so the season ends.... with another loss. at home, after taking the lead... i guess it was a nothing game considering we were already safe, but its YOUR FINAL HOME GAME!!! how about going out and winning one for the home fans...
all i can say is that i hope that we have an interesting off season... some cash infusion, some quality player infusion, and hopefully Luggy off to the front office to be "Director of Football" or "Head of International Scouting" or some other title that keeps him involved with the club, but not behind the bench.
is it me? did we have the players this year? or did everyone Luggy brought in was just a bust, save 1 or 2...
long way til fall and the kick off of next season, but i think we need the time to recover. 1 spot above the drop does not give me much confidence.

Ex ManU man involved... thats a big deal if you ask me.... hopefully, some money will be coming into the club so they can buy some players... improve Home Park and push for a playoff spot this next year...
interesting the website said "Paul Sturrock is the man for the job"... i was hoping a clean sweep would include Luggy... but in a graceful way...
we shall see what the season holds...

Also on the takeover day they also started a new website which apears to be a combination of PASOTI, GOS and Vital, it is called Argyleinsider, http://argyleinsider.ning.com i dont like it, i find it very confusing, they also linked themselves to alot of other Argyle websites, without getting permission, also taking alot of messages from these sites especially PASOTI.
This site is an unofficial official website, most of the new directors have posted on it, they quickly got alot of members, and some have already been banned.
