All of the above. Plymouth hit the wall at the end of 2008 and need an investor to take the next step, it seems.
i think youre right concerning an investor. the board are probably rich guys, but not the mega rich they need to buy the players they need to get to the top level. until they get that, i think they will be, as one has said "punching above their weight"...

Holy crap - what a win by PAFC today! What an up-and-down season for the team lol. Well, hopefully the team can keep playing decently the rest of the way and at least stay in the Championship for next year.

yeah, a 1-0 win taken from the league leaders??? are you kidding me??? im sure Wolves are shaking their heads too...
a goal within the first minute... then we probably bunkered in for the next 89 minutes..
well 3 points is a much needed 3 points.... up to 19th now... a little breathing room... 5 points above the drop
thanks for posting!!

well... we have strung 2 wins together... i dont think that has happened all season.... 5 places above the drop... about 10 games to go... we have to keep taking points where we can get them... and maybe steal a point or 2 from the teams in the top half of the table..
anyway.. a win is a win.... will take the 3 points... we leap frog Watford in the table... not a bad tuesday at all...
OG, Philstagg... where are you guys??

Lurking in the background JJ;)
Argyle go after their 3rd straight win tomorrow against Reading, this will be a tough one. Reading is in 3rd place.

well a 2-2 tie is better than a loss... considering Reading is in 3rd place.. im sure they were thinking they were going to take all 3 points..
undefeated in 4 games for Argyle.... we seem to be hanging in there... i think the top 1/2 of the table is out of reach, but i think we are going to stay up if we can keep playing solid..
good point today for the boys in Green

Another tough game tuesday, away to Swansea, and Argyle have a few injury problems, Cathcart out and Gallagher doubtful.
I would be happy with a draw. Then another away game on saturday at Norwich that is a potential 6 pointer.

Well i guess we were robbed on tuesday losing 1-0 at Swansea to a very bad call that gave Swansea a penalty. The ref was picking on Argyle and booked 6 players, the 2 guys doing the commentary were saying it was the worse referreeing they had seen and one of them made the comment that a Argyle player is going to get sent off or we are going to have a bad penalty decision against us and that's what happened. Supposedly Larrieu fumbled a shot and let out a rebound he then dived at the ball and grabbed it just before a Swansea player came in, the Swansea player hit Larrieu after he had the ball and fell over, and the ref awarded the penalty.
Argyle were without Cathcart and Gallagher due to injury, hopefully they will be back on saturday.
Now some good news Timar has been called up for the Hungarian national team and Argyle signed a young goalscorer called George Donnelly http://www.pafc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10364~1588118,00.html

That's a rather spectacular rewriting of history.
You were most certainly not robbed. You came to kick us up in the air for 90 minutes - 6 yellow cards that were completely justified and could so easily have been more, how the full back that kept on taking Dyer out because he was too fast for him managed to avoid a booking I have no idea. You're seriously suggesting that you think 6 bookings for 25 fouls is harsh?
It was also a definite penalty. Larrieu spilt the shot and Gomez got to the ball first and poked it away from him before being taken out.

On the Blackpool BS forum, there is a match thread for the game on Saturday with a poll and team news will be posted. There is usually a PBP and should be one for this game, which is again vital for both clubs.
So please feel free to have a look, and post on Saturday. And anyone who wants to post any Plymouth team news ahead of the game, please do so.

Big Big win today Sawyers goal in the 86th min carried us to a 1-0 victory moving us up to 19th. 2 wins in last 5 games should be enough to see us stay up.

or losses from teams below us..... i think if we can win 1 tie 2, with help from teams below us.. losing.. we should be ok... but all in all.. this has been a disappointing season...
time for Luggy to gracefully exit to the front office... time for the front office to sh!t or get off the pot... ie: spend some money to get some quality strikers, and push for the playoffs.... time for the players that want to be here to step up... time for the players that dont want to be here to get the hell out of Plymouth.
