so this is the team we are going to have for the rest of the season? currently lower 1/2 of the table... i dont think we are going to do much better this season... as Phil Stagg says "always punching above our weight"..
lets hope we get a win tomorrow... its been a long time since a victory...
How far is Nottingham Forrest from Plymouth? Phil's son has tix to the game!

I doubt it, The transfer period ends Feb 2. I expect Gallagher will be gone, Puncheon has gone on loan for rest of season, also out on loan are Bolasie,Barnes,Smith, Easter, (but he is out with ACL injury) , Argyle have approx 21 players with first team experience this season but you can only dress 16 so every game 5 players are twiddling their thumbs, so expect more to go out on loan or transferred, before any new players come in, i expect Sawyer, Timar, Noone, Folly could leave one way or the other. Next game is 10 days away, no game next saturday.

There was a feature about David Frio in the match programme on Saturday. Apparantly he'd been working for Forest as a scout for a couple of years but has recently gone to work for Man United, again as a scout. More specifically as their chief scout in France.

0-0 tie at Ipswich i think today... the pluses, we didnt lose, we got a point away from home... the minuses - no goals, we are still in 16th...
oy... we have a long climb back up...

I'd like to thank the members of the Derby Co football team for coming into Plymouth and handing our asses to us 3 - 0 in front of our home crowd, and dropping us to 17th place in the table..
oy... we are struggling...
is the clock ticking on poor ol Paul Sturrock?

Final Charlton Athletic 2 Plymouth Argyle suck...
oy.... at one point this season, we were in 7th.. challenging for a playoff spot... now were trying to stave off relegation...
what is it? our players? our line up? our manager? is Paul Sturrock to blame? is the board? we had players that could play at the start of the season, but why not now?
Is PS illness having an effect on his ability to manager OR do we just not have the players to compete this year??

well, we score 2 goals, and still cannot win... Argyle 2 Sheffield United 2... sad to say, but this is a great result for us.. a tie!!! how about that... United will be kicking themselfs for losing 2 points on this one.... they were tied by the 20th team in the table...
on ward and hopefully upward...

Dead thread.... Dead team? Dead Season? Dead dreams of a play off position.
can we stay up and try again next year? Will Paul Sturrock be with the team at the end of the season? Will Home Park ever have the last section of the stands completed?
stay tuned for more questions than answers in the coming weeks....
someone let me know youre out there...

All of the above. Plymouth hit the wall at the end of 2008 and need an investor to take the next step, it seems.
