Sadly....most footballers have very little common sense and act as if they are above the law..

Unfortunately the run came to a halt today as Argyle fell 2-1 to Derby County.
Gallagher gave Argyle a early lead with his 5th goal of the season but goals either side of HT gave Derby the victory.
Next game tuesday at home to Preston North End.

Only 11 days since last posting:) Good win yesterday, hopefully they can get at least a point on saturday when they have to go back to Sheffield to play United this time. Stupid scheduling having to go to Sheffield twice within 4 days. Due to the weather Argyle did not get home until 4 am this morning.
Talking of weather we had 20cms of snow and 70kms winds yesterday, coming home from my boys indoor soccer game last night i had no idea where the road was and could only drive at 15kms, normal trip takes about 15 mins, last night it took 50mins.

2-0 defeat to Sheffield United on saturday, probably was expected as United are one of the strongest teams in the league. The French player Marin started this game and supposedly was red hot for the first 10 mins. but then the reality of English football set in and he was subbed after an hour.
Next game home to Charlton, on paper we should win this one, whether we can win this on the pitch is another matter.

1-0 at Half time for Argyle over Charlton Athletic... seeing where they (CA) are in the table... these are the games we cannot afford to give up any points.... 1 more goal for us will put them away... we are playing at Home Park.. so lets hope we can secure a win for the home side...
Does anyone know about this new character the internet has name "Sumo"? he walks through the stands, back and forth stirring the crowd up... ive seen a video on youtube, seems like quite a character!!!

2-2 draw at home.... tell me how the phuch do you give up 2 goals within the last 6 min at home... and then pull one back right at deaths door to tie the game....
too often we take leads late into the game and give up equalizers, and in this instance, give up a PK in the 90th minute... what the hell.... thank god for Mpenza... he comes in and probably with 1 touch on the ball ties the game..
from this side of the atlantic, i guess i have to be second guessing Luggy's tactics toward the end of the game... is he going into a shell? or cant the boys handle the pressure late in the game....
this was a tie, shouldve been a loss... but we should be beating teams that are that far down the table.... what couldve been with all the points we are dropping late in the games.... where would be at the end of the season if we secured all 3 points instead of settling for a tie. color me frustrated

Hello JJ, yes disappointing result yesterday, the game went from a victory, to a defeat to a draw all within 5 mins.
Argyle dont have the killer touch, as soon as they get a lead they go in to a defensive shell, dropping 10/20 yards back which just leads to the the other team having more attacking space. Even after Luggy says they do this every game nothing changes.
Argyle started the game with a very aggresive attack, Gallagher, Fallon and Maclean, the only problem with that was Gallagher had to play the wing which he does'nt like.
Regarding "Sumo" i dont know if you have seen the thread on PASOTI about him. http://pasoti.co.uk/talk/viewtopic.php?t=24268&highlight=sumo
No game until next saturday.

Late goal by NOONE gives Argyle a 1-0 win at Coventry, up to 9th place.
Funny story re NOONE, he was signed from a non-league team, he was a roofer during the week, and a part time footballer.
This past week he asked the coaches what was he suppose to do once the season finished, and he was totally shocked that he got about 2 months off and still got paid, but had to keep up his fitness level.

great story about Noone... can you imagine... hes playing 1st team football, yet thinks he has to pound nails in the summer months til training camps starts in the fall... how can you not pull for a guy like that....
in Argyle Alumni news... Akos Buzosky blew out his ACL for QPR according the SkySports...

More good news today, Marcel Seip, probably Argyle's best and most consistent player has signed an extension of his contract until 2011. This does not mean he wont be transferred, but it does mean he cant walk away from Argyle at the end of the season and Argyle get nothing.

Mpenza started and was awesome..He is so quick with the ball and took his chance well to score. Our second was lucky but we worked hard to make the luck. Second half was more Cardiff but they did not have enough to get level.Suprising when you consider how much they pay their players but I suppose if you are happy to run the club with so much debt it doesn't matter
Who is Sumo?
