Last game of the year sunday.... @ Wolves....
what do we have to play for? other than finishing on a high note.... undefeated in our last 3... but, cant help but wonder what happened to our playoff challenging team this year.

I bet Seb scores against us today..not too much of a problem so long as we score one more than them..I think if they beat us they get in the play offs so they will be going for it..In an ideal world we will win today and Leicester City will loose..

50 50 day... we lose, so does Ollie... and i think he's going down.... southampton wins 3-2 to leap frog Leicester City....
10th place in the CCC.... not bad...but, "coulda, woulda, shoulda" will be the story of this season....

Hopefully next year will go well for PAFC. Not sure if this is the case for other Championship clubs, but Plymouth seems to go through pretty sporadic ups and downs - if the team could be consistent the whole season, they would definitely be in the running for a top-six finish and maybe even an automatic qualifying position.
Well, I hope everybody has a nice summer.

Good news bad news day today.
The bad news, we lost 1-0 today with Wolves scoring in last few minutes, we also lost Timar with a very bad injury, first thought to be fractured scull, but hopefully, a fractured eye socket.
The good new we ended up in 10th, one place higher than last year, aaaaaaaand
LALALALA HEY HEY GOODBYE MR HOLLOWAY. Leicester drew 0-0 with Stoke but with the results around them they go DOWN.

you think hes going to get fired down there?

The problem is Jackson if he is fired he still has to be paid the rest of his contract, i think he is on a 3 year contract, that could be alot of money involved probably over a million pounds.
Mandaric the owner has lots of money, but if he fires Ollie he still has to hire another and probably pay them a big salary, and seeing he also fired a couple of other managers last year he could be paying out a fortune on fired managers.

well, i guess we wont see him anyway in the championship next year.... but MM has got a team that isnt behind its manager it sounds like.... he left Plymouth for the posher club, and that club is now down a level... he will bring them back up next year and he will be the savior... just watch...

Dead Thread.... but maybe a dead offseason...
any word on where Wotton is going to go? Philstagg, what about the player Seve' knows? any word on a contract for him? any word on new investment from the Japanesse directors?
Seriously, Argyle trying to improve their image in the Asian market? are you serious? instead of "Ginsters" on our jersey, are we going to have "JAL"? if it gives us a few million pounds, why not... lets buy some good people... Darren Huckerby anyone?? or Clint Dempsey from Fulham?
what gives regulars and lurkers... let me know this thread has more life in it than Ian Holloway's coaching career!!!

Haha, getting those Leicester people riled up in the offseason. :D
Anyway, as a long-time PAFC lurker, just wanted to pop in and say that I'm alive. So when does the 2008-09 fixture list get released anyway?

Just keeping things uptodate.
Driving badly and under the influence of alcohol is reprehensible.
It's the driving without insurance thing that I dont understand. Surely £4-5k a week means you can afford insurance on a Range Rover. Not the most important thing about this situation I know but rather odd nonetheless.

Not the most important thing about this situation I know but rather odd nonetheless.I've heard (not 100% it's true) that the car wasn't his, but was owned by the guy whose marriage he'd driven up to attend.
Unsubstantiated reports also suggest he was swerving over the road. He was twice the legal limit, but unless he has a very low tolerance to alcohol, that alone would be unlikely to be enough to make you drive that badly, which suggests there was some intent behind the way he was driving.
