I believe you have to be mentioned 'officially' by the league or some kind of creditable publication.

I wrote it before in the previous thread but will write it again in this new thread:
The Tampa Bay Mutiny and the Miami Fusion FC need to come back as MLS expansion teams sooner rather than later.

San Jose is coming back...so the Mutiny and Fusion will too...The problem is first we need a soccer stadium not Raymond James...I live in St. Pete but for me it doesn't matter St.Pete or Tampa, but like i said before The Devilrays are leaving their training facility in 2009, so progress energy field (Al lang Stadium) will be open to recommendations and community support:)

Hey guys, i'm joining in the discussion here. Living in Miami i would love for an MLS team to make its way down south. I didnt live in Florida when the Mutiny and the Fusion where here, but since i moved here I have been able to follow youth soccer and watch the development of great talent in the area.
If an MLS team would form in Florida, it would be great that the young Florida players along with a South American DP (Riquelme, Ronaldinho, etc.) and a young South American International be the core of the team. It would create both community buzz (home-state guys with their local following) and also involve the latin (Argentinian, Brazilian, Colombian, etc...) populations.
Imagine what that possible lineup could look like:
G - Diego Restrepo (USF, US Youth National Teams)
D - Anthony Wallace (FC Dallas), Nathan Sturgis (Real Salt Lake), Bobby Boswell (DC United)
M - Dax McCarthy (FC Dallas), Bryan Arguez (DC United), South American DP (Riquelme alone would pack the place), Young South American Intl (Juan Toja for the Colombian fan-base?)
F - Nico Mosquera (Miami FC), Jozy Altidore (RBNY), Eddie Johnson (KCW)
Head Coach: Ray Hudson.... I know i'll prob get killed by including Ray, but he lives down here and I love the fire that guy has for the game.
Man, that team would be fun to watch and easy to root for.
Anyways, I'm in for any supporters group/petition request/meetings. Let's see if we can start making some noise and try to get this thing rolling.

E-mails are not going to do anything I would think.
You need people who want a team to gather, have meetings, organize things/events, etc. You can do a petition that way and send that off to MLS. You also need a group to talk to city officials and get things moving with a possible stadium. Easier said then done.

We need someone that has time and experience to organize some of this stuff, I will be available to help but I cannot take over this effort due to my schedule/job.
I will definately be involved in this effort though.

Stop this foolishness!!! Ronal Valderrama would be a total nothing if not for his last name. The Clearwater Galactics are a joke.
