Hello new BigSoccer member! This is the thread to introduce yourself in. So tell us a little about yourself and we'll say hi back. Please note, you have to use this thread since brand new members can reply to existing threads, but cannot yet create new threads.

Um . . . <clearing throat> ah, hi, everyone. I'm a new to the world of soccer, relatively speaking. I started following FC Dallas when they moved to PHP, which is much more accessible to where we live. We attended games about once a month last year, and then bought season tickets this year, and . . . dang, but now I'm totally addicted!

Sooooooo, a question . . .Am I an exception? I'm a soccer mom turned "soccer nerd." My daughter has played since she was 5 (she's ten now), and even SHE'S turning into a "soccer nerd." Meaning, the two of us, yesterday, were sitting at the computer reading the MLS statistics page (oh, and note that the MLS site has Toja on one of it's pages listed as having SIX yellow cards. which, while it might seem like he ought to have that many, given his record number of fouls, we know is incorrect).

Anyway, I'm enjoying reading threads on this website!

Hey guys, I'm new to this board. I'm 17. I live in Wales in the UK. I used to watch Manchester United alot in my younger days and therefore know David Beckham very well. I know alot about him so if anyone wants any info you can ask me. =D Now a Wigan Athletic supporter though but always follow Beckham. I've been watching watching football, or as you call it 'soccer' for about 12 years now. Just came on to say hi and just wondering, is this just an LA Galaxy messageboard or is it open to all teams in USA, etc.? Also how do you LA Galaxy fans and fans of the MLS rate Beckham's arrival?

Hey everybody. The name's Paul, I'm Irish. I've supported Liverpool since I was a boy, and as I grew up I gained a love for my hometown club, Derry City.

I actually came across this site whilst searching Google - looking for some tactical help! I play a bit of footy too, which is another I like talking about!!

Cheers.

Hi everybody.

I'm a Newcastle and USa fan. Memeber of both supporter groups. For now I'm saving up for college, but once I get my first job there, I'll be saving for trips with Sam's Army and all that good stuff. I'm also about to finish my fourth year of varsity soccer in high school, hopefully all goes well.

Hi, I'm from Ottawa, Canada. Grew up playing soccer in Calgary, played Selects, went to Provincials a few times. Don't really have a favorite club, watch it when I can. Recently tuned into the FIFA U-20 WC...enjoyed watching Cristian Suarez of Chile, great player considering I'm a fullback myself.

Hello all, ive been here before but just to read the threads..now i'm going to start talking ha. Me and my father have watched the revs since late 99 and 2000, i didnt get into it until late 2001 early 2002 and now i'm addicted and talk about just soccer..people might disagree with me alot and i may not be the most educated soccer fan but i'm learning. Lately ive supported Tottenham and Manchester United but i wanted to be different and not just root for the BIG club..so i chose the spurs recently. Look forward to talking around here.

Nope, we are many.

Let me just say that when I joined up years ago I was merely a "soccer nerd", but spend time on BigSoccer and you'll find you've just walked up to Everest, in reality there is a whole lot of mountain left.

Welcome.

HEY YALL!!! Im Troy from North Carolina, USA......

I'm 17, and have been a big soccer fan ever since i played back in middle school (so, 6-7 years)........

I'm a HUGE Celtic FC fan (because of the great tradition of the club; and because of my heritage)

And recently Cary, North Carolina has funded the Carolina Railhawks of the USL-Division 1, so i have become a huge Railhawk supporter and I have found a home with the "204 Depot" (the Railhawk fan section)

I was told of this forum from a friend, and i decided to become a member...... Im really looking forward to talking in the USA, and Scottish forum...;)

Greetings, I'm new, but have been reading posts for a while. North Carolinian who has followed DC United since the first year. A more local club to follow would be the Carolina Railhawks, but I've not made it to many games as yet. Try to follow the EPL as I can. These are exciting times for soccer in the US. Hope to see some of you folks around the boards...

Hey there! I've been lurking around Big Soccer for quite a while but I can't remember ever posting before, so this is it!

I live in the Pacific NW, grew up as a Army brat and was first exposed to fussbol in Germany. Really "got into" soccer watching the Seattle Sounders back in the old NASL days.

Played for many years (never any real high level) until a serious car accident made that no longer possible. I miss the playing days but still follow the "Beautiful Game" as closely as possible.

I sentimentally root for teams abroad that have "Yanks" playing for them. I appreciate ANY teams that play great footie/calcio/fussbol/soccer/futbol and players who play with skill, spirit, mental toughness and elan......

But I appreciate the "tough guys" too, as long as it's clean, hard play.

I'll probably continue to mostly lurk. I just thought I'd say "hi" with the new format change happening!
