As an incoming student for the class of 2011 at Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina. I feel that my time at Guilford will be mispent if I didn't do something about the ever-escalating crisis in Africa regarding HIV/AIDS. What I propose to do, sometime during National Kick Aids Week, ( September 29th-October 7th) is host a chairity barefoot soccer tournament to be held at Guilford College. The format is 3v3, and the money raised will benefit Grassroot Soccer's AIDS teaching in sub-saharan Africa. "Over 125,000 kids have graduated from the GrassRootsSoccer program, and it aims to reach 1 million by 2010" Anything you can donate will benefit this foundation. Soccer balls, nets, jerseys. 100% of all proceeds go to Grassroot Soccer.
