One of Arsenal's young stars was arrested at White Hart Lane on Saturday on suspicion of carrying a knuckle-duster (http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/football/article.html?in_article_id=66567&in_page_id=43&ito=newsnow).

Seventeen-year-ld Armand Traore was making his way into the ground to watch the North London derby when he was allegedly caught with the weapon.

Traore, a France youth team international and first-team squad member was taken into custody for questioning and given a formal warning.

A club insider told today's Sun: 'Armand had no idea he'd done anything wrong because the laws are different in France.'

What do u do with knuckle dusters in France ?!

Dust your knuckles? Who knows? What is a knuckle duster? I'm guessing they're just brass knuckles, right?

Yeah .. But the way lots of peopel speak about going to WHL and coming back with a win [most notably Rick :D], i'd give Traore teh benefit of doubt .. And he went there as a spectator, so someoen could have recognised him and tried messign with him .. Atleast he was prepared to fight back .. :D .. Go Traore !!

Armand Traore was arrested outside WHL, when he was found carrying a knuckle duster.

Here is a short write up on our future star
http://the-cannon.com/2007/09/18/traore-you-legend/

I’ve always been a big fan of our young left back, Armand Traore, but his actions at the weekend has made me admire the guy even more. After not being selected in the squad to face Tottenham he decided to go to the game with a mate. It is customary at the North London derby that the stewards on the turnstile give a quick check to see if you have anything dangerous on you. Armand was said to be acting suspiciously around the ground and the steward uncovered a knuckleduster in his possession!

I donīt know how reliable is this information, but if it is true, thatīd be a big surprise for me.

According to the blog, the source is The Sun. 'Nuff said.

Yes but would The Sun claim that someone had a weapon on them and was arrested if it was untrue? They would be asking to get sued.

Besides I read the article today and it has a quote from an Arsenal spokesman. They aren't allowed to put that in unless it actually came from someone at the club so I am certain this happened.

I'm fairly confident that Armand would ******** some Scum UP!!!

That would be awesome, an actual player beating them down? Sweet. Traore rules.

Cornered again !! :o .. Just for the record, I wasn't born an Arsenal or RM fan .. I started watching the leagues that were broadcast on TV in my place and liked the teams .. And things liek the one that happened in 05-06 are pretty rare anyway ..

It seems sort of odd that a player couldn't just travel with the team to attend a game he wasn't on the squad for.

Yeah, I was curious about this as well. Why wouldn't he just be able to sit by the bench? Then again, he may have just decided he'd rather watch it from the stands. But I doubt Arsenal would have wanted him to go what with the opportunity of violence...
