I hate BS polls and would never start one.
However I think it would be interesting to compare the results of the BS crowd vs. the rest of Revsfandom.
The Revs official website (http://www.revolutionsoccer.net) started the poll, so vote away both here and there.
Which starting time would you prefer for the Revolution-Crew match on Sunday, September 28?
a) 4 PM
b) 6 PM
Personally, I'd add a c) option here and let people enter their preferable time just to get an idea what the majority thinks. But why would the Revs want to know that?

Interesting how in the battle of the unscientific web polls, the results are mirror images of each other.

The best start time is 7PM.
7:30 PM
Also, regardless of start time, can they close off the first few rows of the club house deck so that folks that get blinded by the sun don't miss their mouth and spill drink and food on the people below them?

Is this a problem from experience, Nat?

Mods: Can this be made into a "sticky," and, as per Todd Smith's stated wishes as conveyed by his Big Soccer Attaché, Emlyn 'John' Lewis, you can clear out the 'Todd Smith' Thread.
Unfortunately, there isn't an option for a 7 pm or 7:30 pm start. And, what's posted on Big Soccer isn't likely to play into the Revs decision. I'd suggest that you vote by going to the Revs web site [the poll is all the way down the bottom on the left]:
www.revolutionsoccer.net
And, for what it's worth, I've never heard a pro franchise offering the GP an option of different start times [personally and professionally, I like the 6 pm start]

I would strongly prefer either 4pm or 7:30. That way, I'm not faced with the choice between eating that overpriced crap they sell at the stadium or radically moving my meal time. 4pm means I can go somewhere after the game, and 7:30 (or 2-ish for that matter) means that I can grill in the parking lot.
Saturday, with the longs lines, the high cost and low quality, I didn't eat until after 9.
Setting aside the food issues, I like getting home before dark, but that's only a mild preference.

Agreed. I drive up from New Haven, and 4 gives me enough time to make it home and still do something on Saturday night, while 7:30 takes up the whole night but still gives me some time during the day. 6:00 just wastes the majority of my day.

As a Shootout subscriber, 6:00 is nice. Be even nicer if the Saturday night game starts at 8:00 instead of 7:30 so I can watch three straight games with no overlap.
Is 4:00 an option if the game isn't the ESPN2 game?
